we cant go any where without running into someone.

I had met some folks years ago when at Disney, and on my recent trip back I saw them again.

They didn't seem to remember me from our last meeting, but I did speak with them, and they were still very friendly, like a long lost firend.

I got their names and told them to keep in touch... I haven't heard form them much however, but it was still nice.

There names were Mickey, Minnie, Hook (He likes to just be called Captain), Pooh and Piglet, Belle, Alice, Cindy, and so many more

They are really nice people... Most of them have quite a character to them.

Anyone else meet them? They seem to be there everytime I go.

We were at the Mexican restaurant at EPCOT waiting for Illuminations. I was carrying my tray and almost ran into my daughter's bus driver from our small town pop. less than 800. So funny to run into someone in those huge parks!

Yes, because we go at Mardi Gras vacation so I have seen people from my hometown quite a bit! We must all have the same idea ;)

Two years ago we were in the crowd exiting the monorail at MK when a lady behind me said "Isn't your daughter a friend of Alex ________?" Turns out she's friends with friends of ours! We ended up running into them several times that day in the very crowded MK. We called it Six degrees of Alex _________.:rotfl:

Twice we have run into people we know at WDW. One year we were just entering Epcot and saw a fellow teacher and her family. We knew they were there but hadn't ran into them any during the week.

Our Second run in with friends was amazing. We were in the Ft Wilderness Bus line at Epcot one night. My oldest DS said, "Mom that girl looks like Kristi. Mom she really looks like Kristi. Mom it is Kristi!!!" They are friends of ours. Come to find out they were camping just 6 spots away from us. We had no idea they were there and they didn't know we were there. We had requested a favorite camping loop but didn't get it. It was a great blessing in the end as we ended up close to them. The kids had a great time at the pool. Also it rained really hard one night and all of their bedding got wet. We were able to give them some of our dry things to help them out.

Yes, this past June my daughter ran into 2 of her YMCA Summer camp teachers at Mouse Gears gift shop in Epcot! She just thought that was great.

Yes! We were taking a break at the main street bakery one afternoon and happened to sit down next to a family from our small hometown!

We went last year in Sept and DD had just been at preschool for 2 wks and I found out her teacher and family were going too. And sure enough, halfway through the trip we were on the dino-spin at AK and I heard someone calling my name and it was her teacher! We even ran into them another night at the transportation center.

On another note, we were down there at the same time last year as my BIL, family and MIL (LOOONG story but they basically planned a last minute trip for the same time we were going and when I say last minute - I mean last minute - like a week out!) Anyway, they kept trying to get together with us and we had everything all planned out and sorry but it was my birthday trip and didn't want to be hanging out with in-laws that butted in on our trip so we tried SOO hard not to run into them and we didn't - thank goodness!

Yes, we were in Epcot in France walking through the courtyard and hear my daughter's name being called............ignored it because our whole party was with us. Then heard her name being called more persistantly. When we looked over, it was the family from the next block that she used to babysit for!!!!!!! It's a Small World After All!!!!!(sorry, I just had to say it.)

I'm a teacher and unfortunately I see many of the students from my school every time we go to WDW (I say unfortunately only because I would rather not have students and their families see me in a bathing suit!)...but I expect that since we are all off the same week in November.

Two years ago, I actually saw someone that lived a few houses up on my street that I only recognized from walking the dog. That was strange! Plus, twice already we bumped into families that are friends of friends that we see once a year at a pool party.

My husband and I are both teachers, and we end up running into our students everytime!

This happens to us all the time. The funny thing is nobody is ever surprised because everyone knows we are Disney nuts and go all the time. Usually after saying Hi they ask us our opinion on something park related. We get a kick out of it.

My husband and I play "who will see someone they know first?" almost everywhere we go. One of our earlier trips, we were staying at the same hotel as our local high school's band (down for Magic Music Days). Our kids were way too young for high school, so we didn't know anyone.

On another trip, I was walking past the Swiss Family Robinson tree house, and someone high above was calling my name -- a woman I know from Cub Scouts!

The next year, we ran into a family we were friends with, again from Cub Scouts, at the Sorceror's Hat in DHS. We knew they were going, but it was still a surprise.

And this last trip, we were down (separately) at the same time as the high school band/choir trip, which our son was on. We saw lots of people -- kids -- we knew from the school all over, since we coincidentally had planned to be in the same parks on the same days. The choir teacher and his wife were in line behind us in Norway.

On a non-Disney Alaska cruise a couple of years ago, my husband found someone he knew from a local business networking group!

Every sinlge time we have been to wdw we have run into someone we know, but not know that they were in wdw.:cheer2:

Yep - a couple times

We ran into someone DH knew. Not a really close friend, just more of an acquaintance. We spent the first part of the day at DHS and I saw a guy in the distance (just a profile) that looked like this guy that DH knew. I didn't mention anything to DH because I thought what were the chances that it was him? Well, we were in EPCOT later in the day and as we were walking by the Japan pavillion we saw the guy with his girlfried! I told him I thought I had seen him at DHS earlier that day and he said they had spent the morning there.

And way back in 1975 during my first trip to WDW I ran into a classmate in the arcade at the Contemporary.

ETA: I forgot that during one trip we met a family from our home town. They were at MNSSHP and they all had Indianapolis Colts jerseys on so we told them we were from the Indianapolis area too. Turns out they lived in the same town we do (about 30 minutes north of Indy).

This has been so fun to read! We've only been twice and didn't see anyone we knew on the first trip, but on the 2nd trip we saw two families we knew. One was a P.E. coach that had taught both me and my son, there with her daughters, one of which had taught my son in preschool. We ran into them outside of Splash Mountain and chatted for a minute. Another day, we were just about to board Test Track and I heard my name being called. I turned and behind us in line was a former co-worker and his family! I only had time to smile and wave, then never ran into them again.

This past summer, my bff at work and her boss planned a trip for the same wk (not together), and never ran into each other once. Two other friends of mine were there the same wk. None of the other friends knew each other, so we wouldn't know if they ran into each other or not, but I scanned thru ALL their vacation pics, hoping to see the others in them. I just knew they had to have seen each other at some point. :rotfl:

We were down in March and my husband and our two girls were going to go watch Wishes at Magic Kingdom and we were walking down Main Street and all of a sudden I heard my name being called. My hubby says that lady over this is screaming your name. I look behind me and it is one of my very favorite customers from where I worked!! We both about died. I was telling her I was actually watching for my friend (also our babysitter) who was staying over at Caribbean Resort and she says no way we are staying there too. I ask if she knows my friend and she says she is her daughters best friend and that she is with her family. It was crazy!!

Many years we would go to Florida over Spring Break in March and we always every trip saw somebody from home. It is fun to see people from back home.

Last year while at Epcot (on our second day) we ran into a couple that lived 2 streets away from my parents, turned out they were also staying at our hotel as well so we saw alot them

In May of 2008 we were in Club Cool in Epcot, looked up and the woman sharing the drink machine with us went to high school with both dh and I. That SAME day we were at ASMusic getting on a bus for DTD and I hear my name, look up and its an entire family that have 4 kids in the school I work in (I actually babysat the kids when they were small). We knew they were going to be there and at the same hotel but didnt think we would actually see each other!
