When I first met him, he was straight out of the army and I was a single mom. We dated a little, had some laughs, but went our separate ways. I was in love with him, but it just didn't seem like we were meant to be. So, I actually married my daughter's father (we weren't married when she was born). It was a fast, bad marriage. He was mean to me and dd both. After husband and I separated, old boyfriend called. We instantly connected, both more mature and ready for what was to come. We are still together 10 years later. He is the love of my life!

I think it depends on how the first relationship ended. Of course, we women tend to hold resentment if things turned out wrong etc.

Long story short, split up with X back in 99 for 18 months, during that time, dated a guy and fell head over heals, unfortunatly he wasnt "into me" the way i was him. Now, 6 years later, he's back in my life, but this time, its me thats not "into him" like he is me. Karma baby!

no, but funny you should ask, I just had a dream I did. I was so relieved to wake up, as my past is full of losers.

Yep, dated him in high school, sophomore through senior years, broke up the summer after HS graduation. We went to dances and proms together throughout HS.

Went on to another relationship that failed after 4 years.

Fast forward to July 1976, I called at his home in New Orleans, he had just graduated college and was living at home AND he answered the phone. My fmaily was living in Ohio but visiting grandparents in Dallas and New Orleans.
He asked me out during the short few days we were in New Orleans before returning home to Ohio.

We stayed in touch, he visited me in Ohio during Labor Day weekend, I visited him in New Orleans at Thanksgiving.

We married in 1978. Still going strong 27 years and 3 kids later.

Yes, we were engaged when I was a Jr in high school. He was in the Air Force and we wound up breaking up due to a misunderstanding. I'd have married him if not for that. FF about 15 years and he called my parents hoping to get in touch with me. He was/is married and always intended on staying that way so I'm not sure what the point was He wanted to have an affair since he had an open marriage but I just couldn't. Shortly after I met Dh. He wasn't happy about my getting married but ummmm....since when did he have a say and what could he possibly have offered me??? We still update each other thru email occasionally but I really don't have any desire to stay in frequent touch. I'm pretty sure Dh wouldn't much care for that either.

I had a crush on DH in high school, but he was not into going to Jail, so nothing ever happened. I called him on his 32nd birthday to see how he was doing, and we are now married almost 10 years.
