On our recent (June) trip to WDW, me, my mother, and my 2 dd's were in HISHK movie set. While in there I told my mom that a women looked very familiar to me. I asked her if she knew who she was. Turns out she did! The women was there with her husband and 3 children and they are members of my mother's church. Their children also go to the same small private school as my children. Now what's amazing about this is, we live in Racine, WI!!! What is even more amazing is after we ran into them at the first park, we happened to see them at the next 2 parks we went to!!!

I am in Wisconsin too! We actually ran into our neighbors at the airport didn't know they were going. We have seen other people that we knew were going. We usually go at the end of Oct. during WI teacher convention break and there usually are a lot of people from WI in Disney at that time.

Ran into one of my Brownie Girl Scouts and her family at the MK a few years ago!

About 5 years ago I was near the end of the crowd leaving Indy and I hear "hey Russ" it came from some guy I used to work with and had not seen in years. Here is the weird part a couple years later I am just sitting down at Indy and the guy in front of me looks familiar. Guess who it is the same guy again we talk about 2 minutes before the preshow and I have not seen him since.

I work in jewelry sales and ran into a customer of mine in front of the castle. We were there on our honeymoon and they were there on theirs - I had sold them their wedding bands a couple months before...we had a good laugh over the weird coincidences and running into people you know in different places.

This didn't happen at Disney, it was actually at US many years ago..............before there was an IOA!!!! We did a spur of the moment trip, and actually ran into my mom and dad!!!! They had gone to my uncle's for the weekend and went to US for the day........... it was really funny!! They live in S.C. and we live in La., my uncle of course is in Fla.

Talk about a shock.......... we were walking in the area in front of Jaws, and stopped for a photo......... when I saw my dad coming off the ride.........???? I was like......... what??? no way.......... it was really weird!!! We still talk about that to this day.

When I was younger we saw my doctor and his family there 5 yrs in a row...crazy coinsidence :earseek:

I was about to get into a boat in Splash Mtn and the person getting out of the same seat I was entering was a co-worker who sat right across the aisle from me.

I expect to see a bunch of people- our schools have a late start due to construction on the buildings, so I know at least 5 families who are doing what we are - heading down to enjoy the bonus week after Labor Day!

I'm a school teacher. I've run into one of my students twice. Both times, it was completely unexpected. My students know I love WDW, so most of the time they tell me when they're going.

We've also met friends from our church there twice. These were planned though.

In June 2004, DH, DD, DS and I had just eaten at the Cape May Clambake and were walking outside towards the BW. I hear my name called and it's a cousin of mine, her DH and DS. My DH and DS went back to the Dolphin ( where we were staying ) and my DD and I got a tour of the 2 rooms she had at the BC. I was thrilled as I always wanted to see these rooms.

I have a friend that I only see at Christmas that goes to WDW every year. Well, we found out we were at WDW in December 2002 at the same time and at MK on the same day. I thought that was funny, even though we didn't actually see each other.

OH MY GOSH!!! I just remembered! My patient/customer (I'm an optician) and I was talking about WDW and that they were going the same time we were going. Well guess what?! We bumped into each other at one of the countries at the WS! It's the country that sells perfume. I asked him how his contact lenses... and I just said to him.."What a small world!"

I ran into an old coworker on the Tram. I just happened to enter the same passenger area. I stared at her half the ride trying to figure out why she looked familiar. We both said the company name at the same time. We live near Seattle, WA.

Not Disney related, but... When a teenager I moved to WA from a small town in SC. At the new highschool my mind would play tricks and I would think that I recognized someone. Turns out a boyfriend of a friend of mine in SC moved here at the same time and we were going to the same higschool.

Chorus: It's a small world after all, it's a small world after all, it's a small, small world -- Sorry, couldn't resist. :rolleyes1

In 2000, we ran into my grandmother's friends while standing in line for popcorn in Epcot. All of a sudden I hear "Dottie!" (my grandmother's name) and I turn and there they are! my DD had just turned 1 and the last time they saw us was my baby shower. It was a nice surprise.

I remember in 1989, my mom, grandmother and I were in Epcot and because my mom worked for GM, she was allowed into the lounge in World of Motion. As soon as we walk in the door my mom does an about face and says "we'll come back later". Apparently, a co-worker she had a huge problem with was sitting in the lounge with his family, too! We successfully avoided them the rest of the trip.

ETA: like others, I have had at least one instance where I have gotten back from a trip, to find out a friend was there at the same time, and in the same park on the same day!

I ran into my own brother and his wife! Ouch! We live in Florida and they live in Mass. and they just came down for a quick trip for some alone time. Naturally, we walked right into them at Epcot. My brother went pale! Since we are also Disney fanatics, we totally understood, but it still stung a little!!

This past April we were at Wilderness Lodge having breakfast at WCC. If you know the Ketchup joke at WCC then you'll understand. We brought my daughter's friend and she asked for Ketchup...we were brought 15 bottles by another family that had the joke played on them. The next family that asked for the Ketchup was acrossed the room. When they asked for the Ketchup my daughter and her friend proceeded to take them all 15 bottles. The family that asked for Ketchup were our neightbors from just down the street! What are the chances of that ever happening??? :confused3

I have seen so many people I know over the years at WDW most likely because we go often during "Jersey Week" like so many other people from our town. I've also seen people we know during Easter break and was pleasantly surprised. One time it was strange though to see my niece walking through Epcot when I didn't expect to. She lives in NJ also and was going to Florida but had no plans to go to WDW so when I heard my Mom say "Is that my grandaughter Suzie" it was a nice surprise. :flower:

Abour 2 years ago we were having lunch at AK. It was early May. In Chicago it is usually just starting to get warm and you might start seeing neighbors who have been "hibernating" all winter. Anyway, my daughter was writing the names of the kids around the corner in her autograph book. She plays with them alot especially when it's warm out and everyone plays on our cul-de-sac. She was carrying on and on about how she wants to see them and she missed playing with them all winter etc. I tried to tell them she'd see them next week...blah, blah, blah.... You guessed it, not 20 minutes later we ran into them near the Oasis and then again at MK the next day! Since both families had been "hibernating", neither knew the other was going at the same time! My daughter still talks about how funny it was to see them there.

It seems like we see someone we know at least 1X every trip.

::MickeyMo We are always running into someone at WDW that one of us knows. LOL Usually it is my Dad who does. He can be anywhere in the world, and he will no doubt spot somebody he knows. LOL

::MinnieMo I have run into quite a few people at WDW myself. While I was a CM, I worked in the World of Disney. One day I looked up and saw a kid from my hometown with his family. I used to baby-sit him and my Dad coached him in Little league. That same day, I also saw my elementary school gym teacher. LOL

::MickeyMo During that same time, I was at Pleasure Island and ran into one of my old college RA's. I also saw a guy who was my College class' student president or whatever also at PI. He was working for WDW then too.

::MinnieMo In 1991, we went down as a whole family. We were in MK on the People Mover when I look down as we were going through the area where you overlooked a giftshop and who do I see but my Mom's Aunt and their family. LOL Her aunt lived to shop so it was no surprise to find her doing just that!
