they were not at all how you expected them to be? Or, they were exactly like you had thought? Not just in looks, but in personality/actions as well. At 3am this fine morning I was thinking about it and I was just wandering other people's experiences on this.

So far in the dis meets I've been to, people seem to be like they are on here. Or maybe people are just on their best behavior at dismeets.

My experiences have all been positive.

Have met several people from the internet (many from the DIS board here) and found them to be exactly what I expected - all around nice people! It has been a pleasure to meet each and every one of them.

I have met tons of people through the internet, and personality wise, most have been as I expected them to be. Some of them have wound up being amongst my closest friends.

I've met a ton of DISers, and I have to say that I have really liked everyone I have met. Everyone is just so super nice, and I definitely looking forward to seeing everyone again, and meeting new folks as well.

I have met many people from an old Talk City chatroom and for the most part my experience was very positive. In fact, that was where I met DW
I am hoping for a Meet when we go to Orlando just after Thanksgiving, and DW and I think that a New England meet would be great.

Our children are going to marry, if they like it or not, we have gone away for a long weekend together, and gone on vacation to Hilton Head together. They are an awesome family. Our personalities could not be any more alike

I have met many people from Laughing Place at Disneyland. One lady I met came up to Vancouver on a cruise and I met her sister and her. They were super-nice. It was a surreal experience because the Queen of England was leaving from the hotel we were having coffee in, at the EXACT same time.

I couldn't be rude and ask my friends to come stand in the farewell crowd, but I was thinking I would like to see our queen in person. This lady was so generous, she bought me a lb of fantastic chocolates from Salt Lake City, and also a CD of the Winter Olympic highlights. When I started e-mailing her in Salt Lake City I had no idea that I would get to meet her so soon.

The internet is a phenomenal place if you use it right.

I was fortunate enough to meet many DISers and other Disney people at WDW in early December. Every one of them exceeded my expectations, and some have become really good friends of mine. I haven't met anyone from non-Disney internet sites, but maybe that's because I don't visit very many non-Disney sites .
