Have you ever met anyone famous??

Been to a family picnic with Jon Bon Jovi. One of my high school friends growing up, her father was the former chairman and ceo of Island Def Jam Records in New York City. He was pretty much just a normal guy. Hansen and Sum 41 too, for those who are young enough to know who they are I've been able to hang out with because of her. I really never had a thing for musicians though, so it was nothing special for me.

Other than that, no one in particular, or who I can care to remember.

When I was in high school I met the lead singer for the group "Yes". He gave me and a friend tix to their concert that night. I was a Sophmore and I can't believe my strict mom let me go! I didn't listen to that type of music so I just sat there the whole time until they sang "owner of a lonely heart". Then I sat down again, LOL!

i met walter payton, my boss was his neighbor. met steven tyler after an aerosmith concert and carol burnett before a theater show my fi's cousin worked on.

Just recently, while flying home from DL, I unfortunately sat behind a drunk Macy Gray, who drank herself cross country :drinking1 , they finally cut her off over Pennsylvania  . At one point she reached between the seats and started to tickle me :earseek:

I used to work in music journalism so I've met lots of bands and singers. They're almost never as interesting in person as they are on stage. :faint:

Macy Gray...Macy Gray...why does that sound so familiar? I can't picture her!

Met the band Nazereth many years ago (backstage pass). It was very cool. Also Gary Peterson, the drummer of the Guess Who (i'm related to him)

I met the Perdue chicken guy (Frank Perdue-he was very short like me). I met Kareem Abdul Jabbar, most of the Boston Bruins Hockey Team, Former Governor John Sununu (he wasn't very nice at all).
All of them I met while working at The Mount Washington Hotel. For the Boston Bruin's...one of the members of the team was getting married (Stephen Leach???? is he one or was he one???) and I worked in the sales dept coordinating weddings. The night before the wedding we (my friends and I) went down to the bar called The Cave and there they all were! They were very nice guys.

wow, my boyfriend would be wicked jealous if he heard this! he's a HUGE fan! i held the door at paneras for one of the ex-players when he was up at umass for the college hockey finals with his team (i guess he's a coach now or something). i have no idea who he was, but my boyfriend's face turned bright red when he asked me if i knew who i held the door for.

i sat next to anne hathaway at all state choir my sophomore year in high school. we had some good chats. it was her birthday and we all had to sing to her. i told her that my birthday was during regional choir and she said that we'd have to sing to me then. she ended up getting a tv show and didn't do regionals.

i've also met mo rocca, who was really super nice. i have his autograph somewhere.

I met Pope John Paul II when I was 19. My family was fortunate enough to have a private audience with him. He was amazing! :sunny:

Well, I didn't actually meet but I did stand about 3 feet from Shaq ~ boy, is that guy BIG!

I met the girl that used to play Carly on DOOL ~ didn't impress me :confused3 and I also met and :love2: fell in love with Tino Martinez  He's a Yankee

And, I met and had drinks with James Gandolfini

I've met most of the Super Bowl Bears. I used to work for the local paper and they would have luncheons that the players would come and speak at and then sign autographs. Many of them would come through the office first. Otis Wilson, Dan Hampton and Jim McMahon are my favorite memories.

I once delivered a room service tray to Robert Palmer. He was very sweet and left me a nice tip.

A friend of mine who used to date Adam Sandler in high school introduced me to him at a restaurant he frequents when he's home here in Manchester. He said "hi, nice to meet'cha" and all I could say was "hi, have you ever met John Bon Jovi??" and his reply was "ah...yeah...I have...he's a good looking guy". He was so sweet to my friend and her daughters, they were reliving old memories, it was nice.

My friend wanted to die and I was so embarrassed...he made an autograph for my daughter...I couldn't look at him again I felt so stupid...but since I love John Bongiovi and I knew he met him, I had to ask since it was my only real connection I'd ever have to him.

I've met various rockers back in the 80's. ;) But, about 12 years ago, my husband and I took our friends neighbor, ( a kid about 14) to a Kiss show. We knew someone on the crew and had passes and this kid was a HUGE Kiss fan...so why not? While we were there, this kid says " I see my cousin, can we go over and say hi? Fine. Well his cousin was none other than Brian Bloom, the actor. What a cutie! Kid get's to meet KISS, I got to meet Brian Bloom. I had forgotten about this until last night. Watching Law and Order SVU....there he is....Brian Bloom. A little older...still cute. :flower:

But my favorite celebrity that I met came 18 years after I first developed a crush on him after seeing him in the Goonies and I still can't believe it. I met  Sean Astin  on October 13, 2004 in NYC. He was so nice even after I showed him pictures of what my wall looked like when I was 14 with his pictures all over the place. I hope he didn't think I was obsessed!

:earseek: I am SOOOO jealous!! I think we should compare our walls from when we were teenagers...I bet we've got a lot of the same Sean Astin posters. :rotfl:

I'm a huge fan of pro cycling so I've met and took some pictures with Greg Lemond, Roy Knickman, Phil Liggett, Paul Sherwin, Bjarne Riis, Ivan Basso, George Hincapie, Freddie Rodriguez, David Zabriskie, Levi Leipheimer, and Andrea Tafi. I've also met Lance Armstrong but I didn't take a picture with him.

I've met quite a few over the years.

I hung out with "Little Texas" one night, after doing a photo shoot of them....

I met Roy Disney In Philadelphia last year, at the Save Disney Social that was held the week of The Disney Shareholders meeting...
