Have you ever had your palm read?

My 23 year old son had his palm read on a whim. He was told that he'd have 3 sons, be very successful in his career, be in two serious relationships in his life, and is in the first one now.

Yes, he's in his first serious relationship now, with the young lady for 3 years, and thinking marriage in the future. The girlfriend found out about the "two serious relationships" and has taken it seriously! She's in a funk that they're going to break up one day. They do have their problem issues, and working on them, but she believes in this stuff because of other people's experiences that have come true.

So, my question is, have you ever had your palm read, and did it come true?

I've had 3 readings. One was a total sham - Even at the time I was sitting there I could tell she was bogus.

One was so dead on, it was scary. Scarier that I have listened to the tapes she made of the reading later and found that the things that didn't make sense then make A LOT of sense now. She not only nailed the year I would meet my husband, but his name and where he lived. At the time I thought she was nuts. I was told 1 boy, 1 girl, but that there was another boy child around me - either to be adopted or possibly a first child that hinged on whether we decided to have a child early in our marriage or not. Well, we decided to give a one time shot at getting pregnant before our first anniversary and are having a boy so he must be it. I'll let you know if the next is a girl!

I did once. Some of it came true, some did not. She told me I'd have 3 children, one of which would be a boy. I have 3 girls. She was amazingly accurate on some details of my life, although many of the things she predicted have not happened and I don't expect they will.

Now, I know this is going to sound silly, but according to my Grandmother, it really happened: My great-grandmother went to a fortune teller once and she was told that in 2 years she would marry a man with one ear and one of the fingers missing on his right hand. They would have one girl and that girl would marry and have one girl. And 2 years later sure enough - she met my great-grandfather who was born with only one ear and had lost one of his fingers in an elevator. :confused3 They had one girl (my grandmother), and my grandmother had one girl (my mother).

I don't know, I think everyone probably has a story of a relative who went to a fortune teller and all the predictions came true. It happened so long ago and stories can take on a life of their own over time. I take it all with a grain of salt.

I did, but not a "professional".

A man I worked with just offered one day. Two of the specific things he said did come to be true. He told me how many serious realtionships I would have and how many children.

don't know if there is really anything to it - but its pretty cool.

ETA: an old boyfriend's mom went to one and was told her son wouldn't marry me. I wasn't too happy about it either at the time, but I think she was!:rotfl:
