Have YOU ever had or witnessed a rude incident in the park? Tell me about it!

On our last trip, it was absolutely pouring out while we were at Hollywood Studios. So, we donned our ponchos and decided to do whatever we could. My 10 year old daughter was walking next to me. A woman coming from the other direction decided to dart out from behind people to pass them and actually ran into my daughter, knocking her to the ground. People all around us stopped to help my daughter because she was hit that hard, but the woman with the stroller just kept going, not even saying sorry. Geez!

My daughter almost got run over by an ECV (video of the incident below), in the Boneyard by a lady who had a kid sitting on her lap. Not only did I not get an apology, she was the one shaking her headt and looking at me like I was nuts as she drove off.

Disgusting!! I thought Disney banned children from riding on the laps.

Kids aren't supposed to be in their laps and people aren't supposed to be using ECVs inside the boneyard either. This lady didn't seem to care about either rule.

Every time I watch the video I can't help but notice how my 2 year old daughter (at the time) clearly saw and acknowledged her coming up the ramp (:26 second mark). Then at the :22 second mark the older boy slows down as he approaches the small child, uses caution, waits for an opportunity to pass then when he is clear of her picks it up and increases his pace again. But, is was so plainly visible that this lady was incapable of doing something a two year old and probably 6 year old did with such ease.

Lazy pig should have been walking up the ramp instead of scooting around. I will make sure to look out for those idiots who allow their kids/grandkids to ride on their laps.

I actually have 2. Once we had stayed out kind of late and my daughter fell asleep. We were taking the bus back to the resort and the bus had no more seats. It was standing room only. And I had a heavy toddler in my arms and not one single person offered to give up their seat even though they watched me struggle to hold her and ride.

The next was that we were going down the stairs on the ferry and my wife accidentally bumped into a lady going down who started screaming about how everybody was in a big rush (actually she was cursing). My wife said, "If you are expecting a non-crowded place this isn't the vacation for you". This lady continued this screaming until we got inside the gates of the Magic Kingdom. Then she got in my wife's face where I stood right up against her and told her that if she touched one hair on my wife's head I would knock her into tomorrowland. She went on about her business still cursing and yelling.

Sorry, but I don't think it is rude that someone didn't offer you a seat. The best thing you could have done is to wait for the next bus, or take a taxi if you didn't want to wait. I think it is a bit rude to get on a standing room only bus, knowing that you shouldn't be standing, and expecting others to give up their seat for you. You have know way of knowing if someone skipped a bus so they could have a seat. Or if they have a condition that means they need a seat.

I always think that if someone can't take care of their own family and their needs, it is pretty rude to assume total strangers should do it. If someone wants to offer up their seat, great! But a person shouldn't be mad when it isn't offered.

And that's your opinion. And I think it's wrong. I would have given my seat up but I'm a nice guy. Apparently everyone isn't.

Waiting for Disney transportation from DTD back to All Star Resorts can bring out the frustration in people. That's my only recollection of "rude behavior" from our 3 visits. Be the change you want to see in others, keep smiling and make your visit a memorable one!

I was raised to always offer my seat to someone who may need it more than me....ie. Elderly, expectant mother, someone with a child (take it from someone with an infant, they can be heavy), someone who is disabled. I am in good shape and have no problem standing for a few extra minutes if I know someone can use the seat more than me. One day you may be one of those people who gets on a bus/monorail at Disney and needs to sit for some reason. No one will get up for you. That's karma.

Oooooh......rudeness in a thread about rudeness. Rudeness on rudeness crime! You win today!

You and I were raised differently I guess. Not everyone is as courteous or as thoughtful and caring about our fellow "man" as we are. We witness it every day.

I see both sides. Yes, I was taught to give up my seat to someone who needs it more (and I do). However, I was also taught that expecting other people to take of my needs, when I could have done something myself is also rude.

Let's not twist my words now. I thought it was rude that nobody offered but I didn't expect nor demand anyone give me their seat.

And that is where we disagree. I don't think it is rude that no one offered. I think it is rude that you got on the bus and expected them to.

By the way, I do give up my seat for others who I think need it more. It is always nice to appreciate a good gesture when it is done, but it is not nice to expect or demand it.

Let's not twist my words now. Where did I say you demanded it? If you think people are rude when they don't do something, then, yes, you must expect them to do it (if you didn't expect it, how could they be rude for not doing it?)

No. If I know I can't stand on a bus, I don't get on it. I already have days like that, but I take responsibility for myself and for my family. I get a cab. They are all over the place at WDW. I don't pawn that responsibility off on others, and then call them rude when they don't live up to my standards.

Again, please quote where I said I expected or demanded it. No offense if you were one of the seat patrons who chose to stay sitting. I don't hold any ill will personally against you.
