Have You Ever Formally Protested or Boycotted Anything?

Hah... Penn Jilette is from Greenfield in Western Mass, and he was rather legendary even then... LOL lets say he was always an interesting guy, even in high school he had a 'strong personality'.

I gotta give him credit, he comes from regular typical small town roots, no big money helped him along besides drive, talent, and luck. Another good thing about Penn... he takes care of his own. My father was his dad's physical therapist. Penn took real good care of his dad in his ending years...Even with his regular show in Vegas at the time, Penn always was visiting weekly with his Dad, he wanted for nothing.
Yes. We saw him a few years ago inn the demo at The Greenfield Fair. Also, he buried his sister a few years ago and we dealt with him. Very nice guy.

I'm curious as to why none of the posts stating they protested or wanted to protest this past Saturday aren't considered political? We all know what happened at the end of last week and why their where
protests.
Always a slippery slope. Maybe, some are reported and others aren't?

Most boycotts posted are based on politics and/or religion.

I think any post here could be considered "political" but since we aren't fighting with eachother about why one decided too or not too protest the mods probably are ok leaving it...for now. I'm sure they are watching :)

I perceived Saturdays protests as pro-women - and know women from BOTH political sides who participated. Just because one is a republican does not mean you cease caring about womens issues!

I could be wrong but I'm not sure 3 men and a boat was necessarily saying posts were about the two main political parties. That's the way it came off to me seeing as many of the posts here aren't necessarily aimed at specific values of a political party but could be perceived as political posts. You can be political about something and it be unrelated to political parties.

ETA: Realized this may or may not make sense here so disregard if it doesn't make sense to you.

Then I'm curious as to why they where held Saturday? Not two months ago or a year ago or whenever, but Saturday.

Really?
Mexico City gag rule
Planned Parenthood
Contraception
Roe v Wade

Control of our own bodies may not be possible in the future. Its worth marching for.

PS - I did not start the march - you would have to ask those who did why they picked that day.

They were Political.
I agree the marches were political. However, saying you protested on Saturday, IMO, and apparently that of the mods, is NOT political. Expounding on why you protested (or why you didn't) apparently could be considered political.

Did you happen to question the mod who gave you the points for clarification?

Yes I questioned it and I never got a response, although I questioned something once before and got banned.

Come on. You know why you got points for it. You were trying to be cute and make a political statement and got called out for it. Why play dumb and act like you can't possibly understand how your post could be anything but completely innocent?

I do not agree with your assessment. Control is not the issue; cost and funding is the issue. Government funding = government regulation.

Those stating they marched Saturday are also making a political statement.
