Have You Ever Cooked A Turkey In A Slow Cooker?

I just did a frozen turkey breast this weekend. I put uncooked cranberries in the cavity with some sliced pears. IT was great. I cooked it for 4 hrs on high then did an hour on low. Put a 1/2 cup of water. Cut up lots of celery too.

Then I used the broth to boil the bones in to make soup. My husband keep telling me the bird tasted great and he could not figure out what the taste was. Later he saw the cranberry's and said that was the taste.

It was very good.

If you do - I forgot to add - make sure to spray the crock with non-stick spray or use a bag. Sometimes, the stuffing gets cooked really well around the edges (which my DH LOVES) and it is hard to get off.

Good to know, thanks! I hardly ever cook anything in the crockpot without one of those liners. Makes it so easy to clean!

I forgot about another recipe I got and have made a few times, so easy! Sprinkle turkey breast with powdered onion soup mix and top with a can of cranberry sauce (jellied or berries, whichever you like). After it's cooked, thicken the sauce with cornstarch/water mixture (tbsp each). Yum!
