The only thing I can remember buying was OxyClean when it first came out. This has to be one of my all time favorite products. I now get it in the store and I'm always using it for something.
I haven't ordered them through the infomercial, but I have gotten a couple of things at Walmart that were "As seen on tv", like my perfect pancake maker.
I'm always fascinated by these "As Seen On TV" ads.
I think the only thing I have ever bought from the ad though was a chocolate dipping contraption which I have yet to use. I usually made chocolate covered pretzels, marshmallows, etc for my friends at Christmas with Ghiradelli chocolate.
If you are patient you can get these things in stores like Target and CVS without having to pay for shipping. Then on the downside for me I keep thinking it will get cheaper and I wait and wait and wait..lol
One time, and one time only. We bought the black etch a sketch type thing that when you "wrote" on it, came through as a rainbow. It came with the "Marvin's Magical Markers". The whole thing was a rip off. The writer thing was impossible to use, and the markers were NOT washable (really strange for a product designed for kid!) Never again.
The one and only thing I ever bought was some little hand held sewing machine. It never worked, totally frustrating. I will never buy anything again from an infomercial. Our whole family tried to get it to work. It was my only christmas present from dh. We had a good laugh. We are not present people, but he felt so bad, he offered to go to a real store and let me pick out anything I wanted.
