Have You Ever Been To Magic Kingdom And Not Been On A Ride?

You hear all these crummy things about a resort I love, the Contemporary. But, the best thing about it is walking to MK.

A few years back, we had returned from the parks for an afternoon swim. I left my DH and kids at the pool and walked over to MK. I shopped my way around the park, did some people watching and had ice cream. All in 2 hours, travel time included :D - you can't beat the walk!

Yes we have just to get a haircut ,grab ice cream, walk Mainstreet explore the shops, take photos etc. But this is under different circumstances with PAP's. How can you do a "once in a lifetime trip with a child and not at least ride one thing especially with FP? Or, if it means waiting in line for 1 Hr to make a child happy so be it"

When I went to Disney World with my school band I know of a 13 year old, his group of friends, and one friend's dad who went to Epcot and didn't ride or see anything. It seems to me like a total waste. They stayed in the Electric Umbrella the entire time the band was there. Sure, the lines for MS and TS were around an hour or two each but it would be better to wait in line doing nothing and then get to ride something instead of sitting in a restraunt and just doing nothing.Plus, they could have explored the countries and pavillions and for everything except the too big rides there was like no wait whatsover.

They probably didn't research the visit at all and got to the park, on a busy summer day after it was very crowded and then didn't want to wait for anything. Not the way it works at WDW!

We've gone once in summer and got to the parks very early to ride whatever we could before it got busy, took a mid-day break and then returned to the parks in the evening. That's really the only way to do it during a busy time unless you want to spend all your time in lines.

Poor neice, but lucky to possibly go with you sometime!
