Have you ever been to a tractor pull?

When I visited my sister and bil in Nebraska they took me to one. It wasn't anything like I expected. I pictured a slow paced event, and it was anything but that! They have some seriously souped up tractors (and cars and trucks also)! This isn't from the one I went to, I found it on youtube, but if you're unfamiliar with tractor pulls it's a good example. Now my oldest is looking for tractors pulls close to home to go to.

Do you pop wheelies? LOL That's what I pictured, regular tractors pulling heavy loads.

If I’m not mistaken they used to have them at the Ohio state fair.

Our state fairs have them. It’s been many years since I went to the state fair, but maybe 30 years ago I recall going with friends and we spent some time watching the tractor pull. Fun to watch one and see what it’s all about, but not something I am overly excited about doing again.

I saw one at the State Fair about 10 years ago. Entertaining for about 15 minutes, but then I was ready to leave.

I like the Demolition Derby better.

Really! Evidently I've been a tractor pull participant several times per week for years ha ha!

I was at a few as a kid, but I don't seek them out as an adult, although they are around here. Same with antique tractor pulls/shows.

I've actually been to a lot of them over the years with my parents when my sisters and I were younger, but now only DH goes with his friends occsionally. Ohio is a pretty popular state for them. The Hartford Fair just had theirs last Sunday, and the big event up in Bowling Green is next week. Then in mid October they have them at the Fairfield County Fair. That fair also has a combine demolition derby night, which we never miss going to. That's always one of the biggest nights for the fair, people love watching the big combines bang into each other! LOL

Sounds like there's plenty of options in Ohio, better get out there, I know you don't want to miss all the fun!

We go yearly at the local fair and sometimes at the state fair.

I really didn't stop to watch it or anything, but they were a regular thing at our county fair for as long as I can remember.

I got dragged to a few of them as a child when we got shipped off to my grandparents in the summers. I don’t have fond memories.
