And if so, how did you like it?

I am trying to decide if I really want to go on it or not.

I did Mission Space in January and was not crazy about it. I never realized how much i did not like small confined spaces until after I went on this ride!! The ride tells you not to close your eyes, but I did it and it helped me fell a little bit better. After the ride, I was a bit nauseous, but I just sat down for five minutes and was on my way! However, my boyfriend really enjoyed the ride and felt fine after riding it!

It was a experience that I loved and will go back for several rides on each trip. You feel like you are lifting off for a trip to Mars and I mean you feel it.::yes:: :wave2:

My husband and I both went on it on our last trip. When I got off I felt a little disoriented but that was normal roller coaster stuff that went away right away. My husband however said he felt sick.

The ride itself was fun. It reminded me of the Gravitron ride I often see at carnivals. That's what it felt like physically, but you had no way of knowing that you were spinning. It was neat to get to be part of a four person team to "fly" the space ship.

I'd say if you are prone to motion sickness, don't ride it. If you aren't sure, wait until the end of the day, that way if you get sick then it won't ruin your day.

I like to ride everything at least once, so as long as you don't think you'll get sick mid-ride or have any of the other medical conditions they list, then go for it.

I rode it for the first time yesterday! Very fun, but worth only riding once a trip. I felt kinda woozy afterwards but not enough to let it get the best of me. Definitely do it before you eat anything! They have barf bags in there for a reason!

My wife and I found it open last June for testing and decided to "give it a spin". (Pun intended) We both enjoyed it thoroughly. No illness, disorientation, or other problem, and that's special because my wife has tinitus (sp?). It's an inner ear thing which affects her balance and causes ringing/buzzing. I rode again in December although my wife didn't because my sister was with us and didn't want to ride. Again no problem. I will difinitely be doing it again in about 4 weeks!

I can ride any Coaster in Florida and not feel bad but after mission space I felt woozy but that was my fault as I kept looking to my side to check how the kids were doing. That said I can't wait to go on it again.

That is good enough for me. I think it is great to get the expirence of it but lets just say on future returns I won't be upset if I don't go on it.

I did get queezy afterward and it took a good 3 hours for me to get back to normal but I realize I caused some of this myself.
They tell you not to look down or side to side because you could get disoriented but being the concerned mom I am, I looked over to my right to check on my 7 year old son to make sure he was ok during the ride. That was it and it was all over for me.

My 7 year old loved it and daddy isn't one to do those types of rides so I don't know how that will work on future visits.

My mom and brothers went on it and they listened to my story and made sure they didn't look over or down and they only felt mildly queezy afterwards and didn't have issues as long as I did.

I rode once and felt a little woozy for a while after the experience. It was fun, and I am going to try it one more time on our next trip. If I get the woozy thing again, I'll be retiring from future exploration of the red planet.

My sentiments exactly! I never would have classified myself as someone who was claustrophobic but I felt that way on this ride. The blast off portion was amazing to me, I loved that so much but because of the small quarters I'm not sure I'll go on MS again.

We did it last sept and loved it. I was a little nervous because I am slightly claustrophobic and sometimes I get motion sick. I can usually do spinny rides but the canada film gets me motion sick....not sure why but that is the way it works for me. Anyway. as long as you keep your eyes straight ahead on the screen and don't look around while the ride is in motion, it wouldn't be too bad. I did feel a little disoriented when I got off......kinda like the way you feel when you're on a treadmill for a long time and then get off....walking felt funny.

I rode MS last Oct. I was sooo nervous to go on it b/c of everything I had heard about. I normally get motion sickness even if I sit in the passenger seat of a car for 10 minues down the road. I can never sit backward on a train or I'll get sick. So deciding on whether to go on this ride was a big decision. But I am one of those people that I would be disappointed in myself if I didnt at least try it once.

So needless to say I loved the ride. What a feeling to feel like you really are launching into space. I never have been on a ride that was that real.

When I first got in the ride I knew I knew I had a great chance of getting sick. SO I set my mind to relax an concentrated on the screen in front of me and pretty much just stared at it and tried not to move my eyes that much. I felt cool air that they have coming out above you and positioned my face so it was blowing right on me whoch helped greatly. When I got off the ride I felt a little disoriented b/c the ride was so itense and the only other thing that happened was that I got a really weird kind of headache. It was an uncomfortable pressure but nothing that was too bad. And I didn't feel nasueas at all. I hope this helps you a bit.

I rode it twice in November. I was very disappointed. All the pre-opening hype and stories about people getting ill had me expecting a really intense thrill ride. It isn't. The lauch sequence is pretty intense for several seconds, but other than that its nothing special. I think the warnings are way overdone. The ride needs to be longer and have more intense periods to really call it a thrill ride. I think Star Tours is a much better motion simulator ride.

Now you may be wondering why I rode it twice. My 8-yr-old DD loved it and insisted on going again. So I can recommend it as a good "starter" thrill ride for the little ones. Its not nearly as intense or scary as a roller coaster and is over in 4 minutes even if you don't like it.

To be able to get a little taste of what it feels like to be an astronaut is just unbelievable. I think the ride should be even longer.

If you're scared I would just close my eyes and concentrate on the G-Force rush you get. You don't really have to do any of the controls; that's just for the fun of it.

I do think you will feel better if you don't move your head too much on the ride.

My hubby did not like the ride because he felt it afterwards. He can go on roller coasters with no hands but this ride wasn't for him.

Supposedly, there are people throwing up more then normal for a ride. It's a hard call to decide if the ride is ok for anyone. I felt great and I could do the ride over and over but hubby says once is enough.

My belief is to try something once at least; unless, you have a pre-existing medical condition that says you must be careful about such matters.

Rode it in March! Hesitated at first because of all I had read but I have never had motion sickness or any other sickness that could be related to rides...so I tried it.

It was absolutely awesome. It is done in a way that makes you feel like it is real. I guess that is what it is supposed to do. I took about 30 seconds to get my land legs back and that was all.

The big thing is that they leave you stranded on Mars. I had to walk all the way back to Epcot and my feet were pretty sore already. That's a long ways, Mars to Epcot. I'm tired just thinking about it.

:space:

I went on it twice in in April and didn't think it lived up to its hype. I thought you were to feel some weightlessness but I never did. I'm a little claustrophbic but had no trouble. I looked from side to side with no problems. I talked my DW into trying it (she is not a roller coaster person), she thought it was ok but probably wouldn't go out of her way to ride it again. I think you have to least try it once.

Oh Yes!

I rode it last October and really liked it. I was a bit nervous at first but once it started I enjoyed it a bunch, in fact I wished it was a little longer.

We rode it twice when we were there the end of March. I was VERY nervous, mainly because of all the posts I read here. I was also nervous about my younger DD, who I was afraid wouldn't sit straight. I'm claustriphobic, so that added to my concern. And the barf bags didn't help either!!!But, as I said, we rode it twice, once in the morning, once in the evening. It's not on my list of "must do" rides, but I'd ride it again on our next trip, if the wait time isn't too long! As my family told me, "you've got to at least try it!:wave2:

I was getting ready to go on it I was standing on the number getting ready to walk in and i chickened out! They made it sound worse then it probabally really was, like with all of the warning signs and it said dizziness and that when i got off, I dont think I will ever be able to ride this ride.

So Sis does that mean you are not going to go on it with me? :teeth:  ;)
