DS14 sprained his ankle dancing to Gangnum Style backstage at the 2012/2013 New Years Eve Party. Went back to school on crutches with a good story to tell.

I have a huge snake phobia and the post about getting bitten by a water moccasin at CBR makes me want to never go near that resort!

Bruised my tailbone in 2012 at some point on our trip. Hurt so bad that I couldn't sit right on any rides..the boat rides were the worst.

I had an allergic reaction on Sticth's Great Escape after they cleaned out the chili dog scent machines so the smell was stronger. I alerted the cms at the ride and took a Benedryl. The cms called over a manger who took an incident report and called someone over to escort me to First Aide. They got me a copy of the MSDS sheet so I could tell my allergist about the incident. The reaction wasn't too bad and I'm used to them so I was able to get myself home after a few hours of resting. I haven't been on Stitch since and always change/clean my mask filters before heading to the parks.

My son was injured on Rock and Roller coaster at the Studios. He was getting on, and the CM said, "watch your hand!" My son, said, "What?" and the CM slammed the the upper restraint thing down on his hand. (I was annoyed he did not WAIT for my son to move his hand.) I know normally, one pulls it down yourself, but for some reason my son was confused, and the CM was walking down the line and pushed it down on his hand.

We had to go to the walk in place for an Xray the next day, which was negative, so it was just swollen and sore.

We did not report it, because DS did not really complain about it until later that day. Typical kid, lol.

DD was injured on Splash Mountain. At the end of the ride, when the boats get backed up, they slam into one another really hard. She was about 8, and her face hit the bumper pad, splitting her lip. Took her to first aid for an ice pack. They were wonderful! The lady told her how brave she was, and gave her a voucher for a free Mickey Bar to numb the lip and feel all better.

Walked into an armrest on Star Tours. I ended up with a bruise on my thigh. My fault though, so I didn't try to get any extras out of it.

My son was bitten by a water moccasin at the Caribbean Beach Resort back in 2009. Spent the first 3 days of our vacation in the ICU.

Yikes. I don't have a snake phobia at home but when I'm in Florida, I'm vigilant. Those water moccasins are scary stuff. Glad he's ok.

When I was younger we were standing near an area where the fireworks for Illuninations must have been shot from because I got a face full of ash and debris. Spent the rest of the evening getting my eyes washed at the first aide station. Between that and being burned from falling firework debris at a [non Disney] July 4th show, I refuse to go near fireworks.

OH!!! I completely forgot about this- after Illuminations probably 5 or so years ago, I too got ash in my eyes! I had to be led to the bathroom at the International Gateway exit to immediately take my contacts out and rinse my eyes. Now, I ONLY wear glasses to the parks in the evenings. Worst stinging ever.

Not on a ride, but I tripped going up the steps in the Swiss Treehouse. I busted my knee and had to go to first air to get cleaned up.

I sprained my thumb badly on the old Twenty Thousand Leagues ride in 1976 when the chair "sprang up." I had to have surgery on it a few years ago when I added insult to injury by catching the thumb in the pocket of my scrubs and completely tearing the tendon. My doctor said it must have been "Hanging by a thread." I said it was --- for over thirty years!

I know- I'm so cautious of that now it's hard to enjoy the fireworks if we end up being right up on the lagoon!!

About 5 years ago me and DH took DD to Typhoon Lagoon. I won't go in when the waves are rolling so DH took my daughter in. Well, she was knocked under and slammed into the bottom of the wave pool. Rushed her to the walk in clinic for x-rays. No broken bones but had a huge contusion on the knee cap which blew up like a balloon. Poor kid was in so much pain but was a real trooper. She ended up spending the rest of our vacation in a wheel chair, 5 days, (instructed by the doctor seen) as well as at home for several more.

I have to say, the lifeguards at the wave pool, and CM's back at the resort were wonderful. Took great care of my DD. Even the door man at the resort showered her with extra trinkets every morning to help lift her spirits.

As I am sure you all know, beware, that wave pool can be very dangerous! DD still goes in, I'm still chicken with feathers on my back!

This past January I sprained my knee trying to get on one of the carousel horses at MK. I'm not nearly as flexible as I think I am. Still, I was glad to ride it again in May and both mount & dismount injury free.

Not on a ride, but I did give myself a pelvic stress fracture between miles 8 & 9 of the Disney World Half marathon 2 years ago. Didn't know it- thought I'd just strained a hamstring, and tromped all over the parks on it for 3 days afterwards. Yeah- my orthopedist wasn't too impressed when I got home. Nothing like crutches during a snowy/icy January.

Every time i ride Dinosaur i hurt my hip -- i hate the ride personally, but the kids love it -- to me its just a dark loud physically abusive 2.5 minutes.

I couldn't agree more, hate this ride.

Do you have high blood pressure by any chance? You don't have to answer b ut those spinning or looping rides sometime raise blood pressure esp if one is already on the above normal range of BP.

I don't think so but its possible after a day in the parks with DH.
