I haven't but we have a business and have been scammed by an employeee claiming a WC injury in the past year.
X had lost a leg in a previous injury - we hired her - made accomodations for her disability - she said in June/July that she had fallen off a stool at work - DH told her he would start the WC process and what it would entail - doctor, drug test, etc... she suddenly felt fine, just asked us to switch her to another job duty, which we did (she didn't want a drug test). We fired her for shortages and other reasons in November. In January we got a notice she was suing us for an injury she received in October - in October, she complained that her prosthetic leg wasn't fitting correctly, and that she needed to go to the doctor for that, but there was no injury! Even with our documentation, our attorney said the WC provider would likely pay her a settlement to make the claim go away, but it ended up that between our records and the doctor's (lack of) records, her claim was denied.
This is why WC is such a pain for legitimate injuries - fraudulent/frivolous claims!
