Yes, DH and I both were married really young. His first marriage lasted a year and mine lasted 3 years (only because a child was involved). We are going to celebrate our 12th anniversary next month.
My aunt is married to her third husband, but he was also her first husband. Kids #1 and #4 are his, although #2 and #3's Dad died so he is Dad to them too. It's like a soap opera around there
I was divorced once but DH has never been. The cretin I married back when I was 22 was a real douche-bag and the marriage lasted only 7 months. He was a supremely mean, spiteful, bigoted and abusive...a waste of air. I left him on New Year's Day 2000 (happy new millenium!) and began dating my current DH 3 months later (we had been best friends from almost 4 years). We lived together for another 6 years and finally married about a year and a half ago. Best thing I ever did!
Nope. We married at 21 and 22, and have been married almost 15 years. That's not to say I haven't thought about it. Marriage is tough, with lots of ups and downs.
Jenasis - I can't believe it has been a year and a half since you married. I remember you talking about it - wedding at a farm, hot day, sick relatives - was that you? I remember you saying everything went beautifully for the most part.
