Budget related cause I don't want to ruin my Uggs. I bought the Ugg cleaner but am scared to clean them. This is my 3rd winter having them and they really need a good cleaning. Any tips and/or advice appreciated!!:)

I did! I have a sand pair of classic shorts and they were stained after a couple years of use. I followed the directions exactly and washed them. I think that they look better. Not new but def better than they did.

My friend is a dry cleaner and he always advertises that they clean Uggs. Have you checked out the price to do that? I think I would feel more comfortable with that then doing it yourself.

I've done it, just follow the directions and your Uggs will be fine!

I just dropped my 3 and a half year old Uggs off at the dry cleaners yesterday. It's a little pricey to get them professionally cleaned ($45) but they're 3 and a half years old and are still in pretty decent shape (besides the smell LOL) but I figure $45 is better than the $140 it would cost for a new pair, and if I can get another winter out of them I'll be pleased (and then when I have a job after I graduate I can buy myself the black ones I've been eying for a few years :lmao:)

Yup! I clean them once or twice a year, and even get DF to help! It works great--- no worries!

Also, for the smell, they do sell an Uggs "refresher" spray that works very well, a heck of a lot better than Febreeze does, at least.

The dry cleaning place by my house wanted $30 to clean a pair of uggs for babies that cost $50 new :scared1:

I also had 2 pairs of my boots that I wanted cleaned and they wanted $40 each. I couldn't justify spending $110 to clean 3 pairs of boots. I'm going to look into the ugg cleaning spray!

I have had my Uggs for two years now and I just throw them in the washer with the towels and hang them to dry. Have not ever had a problem with them.

Does that take off water stains? We were in NYC 2 weekends ago and it dowonpoured. DD had on her Uggs. There are water stains on the front of them now. We would love to get them clean.

Santa (umm, hubby) just bought me a pair for Xmas last night.. I have ones that are like 5 year old and yellow and I paid like $60 for them.. But, these ones he paid $200 for so i want to make sure that I don't ruin them.. Do you all wear them out in the snow or the rain?

My daughter wore her baby pink Uggs to the city last year and I thought they were ruined for sure- pink turned to BLACK! Anyway, I used the cleaner, let them dry thoroughly and then buffed up the nap with a knuckle brush. They looked practically brand new.

Good luck to you!!!!

I dont wear mine in the rain or snow. But I did spray my two pairs with the Ugg protecting/water repellent spray to help keep them clean. It's helped keep them clean from the occasional flurry or drizzle.

Good to know the Ugg cleaner spray worked. This is season number 3 for my Sand pair.

I always use a cheap can of Scotch Guard from Walmart to protect them from the rain/snow. When it's time to clean, I use the spray. Works like a charm every time!
:)

I have the tall black Uggs I got as a present last year, wore them all winter through the blizzards, and now they are not looking so hot! I got my daughter the short blue Uggs for Christmas from the Ugg Australia website, but did not order the spray protector. Is there a store that sells the Ugg brand spray or should I check back on the Ugg website?

We bought the cleaning set at Journey kids in the mall. I've also seen them in belk

I bought my UGG protecting spray at Nordstrom. I want to say it was around 10 dollars. I've still got a ton left even after doing my other pairs

I need to go there and pick up the spray. My new pair is coming in the mail this week.

I have the black uggs that are the knit that either can be work up to the knee or rolled down. They had terrible salt stains on them and I threw them in the washer with the towels, they washed nice, I hung them up to dry, and bought basic waterproof spray at Walmart for under $10.00. They look as good as new and never had a leak in them. I wash them several times each winter and have had them for almost three years now.
