Have you bought or made any Christmas presents lately?

Magic washcloths from WDW for stockings. Most expensive purchase so far. Also got Gymboree Christmas Jammie's for each kid ($6/pair after Gymbucks), Minion tee shirts for each ($4 each on clearance and with target cartwheel), dinosaur socks for each for about 50 cents a pair (clearance and cartwheel), and a Disney Infinity power disc free because we had a $5 reward gift card about to expire.

I haven't done much shopping yet. I always get my kids an ornament to remember something that happened in the year. I found 2 last week, one to go. And I got a couple of coloring books for my niece.

Disney store clearance finds this week: Star Wars baseball cap for DS $2.99, and Planes sneakers for our preschooler $5.24.

New Spatula and serving spoons at Target for .70 each - for oldest DD who is planning to move out this Spring.

Still looking around but nothing so great thus far in the big-ticket item department. We did really well Thanksgiving day and Black Friday last year finding online deals though - so I'm hopeful we can do the same again this year.

I have been out on leave due to surgery and have done most of mine online including my son's stocking items. I mainly have a couple gift cards and a few things left to pick up for my son that comes out in November.

lol i kinda doubt many other people would want this. my dad is a practical guy and really only likes very useful things which is another reason its hard to shop for him. i live at home and we've had the same portable phone with 2 phones for a number of years now and they aren't the best anymore plus we still end up RUNNING to get the phone in time cuz we have a 2,800 square foot house. so i'm getting him a new portable phone system that has 4 phones instead of 2. some people will say that its more of an "everyone gift" but since he wants practical gifts he will be happy to get it.

While it doesn't help me, that's a great idea!!! If we had a landline - that would actually be a great idea. I think this year will mainly be gc for my dad

Yes I've done some. My mom and YDS are done.
Mom - Disney ornament and we are taking her to MVMCP (she won't know until we are in flight she thinks we are going somewhere else with work)
YDS - Found and iPod on clearance at the college bookstore, taking him to MVMCP too, Big Nate books, Playstation game, and we bought him a ticket to see a NBA preseason game and told him it was part of his Christmas gift.
Fiance - So far I've got him a Big Bang Theory board game (Target clearance) and a Kasey Kahne shirt and comic book.

My ODS wants gift cards. DD will never tell me what she wants. Most everyone else will be gift cards, but I'm waiting on 4x fuel points at Kroger.

We just got a new upright freezer so I want that to be my Christmas gift.

I got SIL a cheese/cracker board with cheese ball spreader with a beach theme to go with the theme of their camp on 75% off clearance at a bookstore. Pillows that have the arms on them (Disney theme) for 2 of cousin's kids - 75% off target clearance.

Local football team logo baseball hat 90% off Target clearance ($2)

sometimes I pick great deals up even though I am not sure who I am giving them to. I can always find someone to give them to.

It's time I do inventory of what I have bought so far ... Christmas is sneaking up on me!

We took a macaron making class while in Paris on vacation this past summer, and I thought it would be fun to make some to give out to co-workers, etc. as Christmas presents. But I also know that figuring out the proper oven temperature and right batter consistency takes a lot of trial and error, so I made my first "test batch" this weekend. They turned out OK - no cracking, no hallow shells - but they were a bit flat with wider feet than they should have, and they were not as dry as I think they should have been. So I think I overmixed a little, and I need to play around a bit more with the oven temp and placement of the tray in the oven.

But the good news is the lemon filling I tried came out great!

I'll do another test run in a week or two. There's only so many macarons you can eat....

I went to the outlet mall yesterday and got a fleece jacket at Eddie Bauer for my sister for $16 (I had a $10 rewards certificate I applied toward it - sale price was $26). I got Niece 11 a hoodie at the GAP for $11.50 and Niece 9 a tee at the GAP for $5.60.

I have a few other things stashed away upstairs that I have bought here and there, but nothing significant.

I started my shopping today. Vera Bradley is having a great online sale and I bought $60 worth of baby stuff for $20!!! A big success and I've only begun!

I love Christmas shopping, so I was super excited to see this post! My husband went through a minimalist phase this summer and made me clear out my gift closet - darn Tiny House Nation marathon! :happytv: Rather than admit defeat, I've decided to view this as an opportunity to re-build my stash. :hyper: So far, I've bought personalized Disney blankets for all the little ones at $13 each, shipped. Today, I picked up a Google chromecast for $22 at Staples. Not sure who I'll give it to, but it was on sale! :woohoo:

Yay a Christmas thread!! I have bought a few things...

DD8 is asking for a rolling backpack for school. I found a cute Roxy one on eBay for $35!!
DD4 is asking for a violin and a lantern (do not ask me where she got these gift ideas from as we don't play violin nor do we camp, LOL). I am looking for a play violin and found a few on Amazon I think I might end up getting. I also got her a frozen umbrella so far.

They are both getting 4-day park hoppers from us for our February trip to Disneyland which is still a surprise to them!

I still need to shop for 3 nephews (16, 6 and 3) and one niece (5) which should be easy. I also bake for friends and family and we hand deliver them Xmas eve as a family. We started that tradition last year and it was really fun and people seemed to enjoy it.

funny you ask. i went to bed bath and beyond like two weeks ago. they had a massive clearance section compared to normal, i bought a few things this time last year too. i only found one thing, my boyfriend loves to polish his shoes so i found a shoe shine kit on clearance from $20 to 9.99 (plus coupon of course). i also got for the same discount for myself a short sleeve robe. i only have a fleecy one and its so hot in the summer. i honestly was annoyed i couldn't find more as the prices were great, but just not things i needed or could use as gifts.

from last xmas clearance i got a nice hand blow flip flop ornament for someone, 2 pairs of nice santa socks that have the treads on the bottom (i am thinking random little gifts just in case), i bought a bunch of little things at the craftstore for stockings for my future nephews. their parents dont do stockings and i did little ones last year and they were a hit (well i did fill them up halfway with lolipops that i got on halloween clearance - need to get more this year). i also got them silly putty when target had 30% off dollar spot. i feel like every kid needs silly putty :goodvibes i also have a vase from anthropology and an apron i got on post xmas clearance last year. i was surprise gifted by my boyfriends family last year and will not be caught off guard again.:p

i found on an auction site a nice disney print for my mom too. i paid just about under retail but the prints i could not find it on sale online, and i am not sure how many they made and if they are still available. i may give it to her for her birthday so she can have it out for christmas. this is the only picture of it i could find http://www.*****************/assets/images/artfigures/picturessigns/larrydotson/ldholidaysMK(2).jpg

We scored about a month ago on the kiddos Christmas presents. Walmart was have a large toy clearance to make room for all the new toys coming out for Christmas. We were able to get my DS several of the large Star Wars lego sets for 75% off. We bought both our DDs duplo lego sets also 75% off. I also have been shopping Zulily for my DDs. The kids are almost done except for their ornaments. Now to shop for everyone else.

Kohls has been having some good clearance sales on baby items, so I picked up outfits for the two new baby boys that will be joining the family in the next 6 weeks or so.
I had scored big on the Kohls clearance toys, so I'm nearly done with the kids in the extended family.

How did you Get chrome cast for so cheap?

I only have the one kid and I am done. She knows that once the list is texted to Santa, that is the list. She insisted it be texted in August and I got the last thing in the mail last month. She asked Santa for a bunch of neon bright office supplies from Justice. That took 2 minutes to order on coupon day. Then she asked Mommy and Nana for Anna/Elsa dolls. We bought Saige and Caroline, plus the costumes off Ebay. That took like 10 minutes. Easy peasy lol

We don't do adult presents, everyone has a job and can buy their own junk!

I just cashed in some points this morning for Panera gift card to put in DH stocking. I almost have enough points for Subway gift card so that will be orderded this week.

I went through my stash last night and I have Christams Eve PJ's bought for both boys, ornaments bought for DD, and DS13, Luggage and binoculars bought for DS13.

We are going to WDW in 17 days so I plan to get a lot of shopping done while there for the neices and nephews.

does anyone else do any of their Christmas shopping at the Halloween super stores that are open now? I've found them to be a great resource for stocking stuffers and fun gifts that tie into hubby and dd's interests (dr. who in particular). I can get stuff for a fraction of what they sell for on sites like think geek (dd loves to get dr. who, adventure time, minecraft socks).

if anyone is interested spirit's online store has a big sale going (up to 33% off) and they are offering flat rate shipping.
