How is the weather in Nov what are the parks like crowded??? not crowded??
Thinking of the week following Thanksgivivng.

We went the week after thanksgiving and LOVED it! It was the first time I had been there in 15 years and the first time for my DH. It was very uncrowded, a little chilly, wore jeans-no shorts. Got to ride on everything we wanted and the Christmas decorations were up so everything was even more fantasylike. Enjoy!

We have gone the week after Thanksgiving for several years now...prefer it to any other time....

The crowd levels are the lowest I have ever seen, the weather can be tricky....anywhere from cold to hot....we have had it where we have needed winter jackets during the day to shorts and t-shirts into the evening...but, only once or twice did we encounter any rain.

Everything is decorated for Christmas, the Candlelight Processional and Osborne lights are available...it is also a great time to attend MVVCP as crowds have not been too bad (although getting worse each year and we always go the Tuesday night after Thanksgiving).

My DH has decided that we wants to go during a warmer time so we can swim in the outdoor pools at night after we leave the parks so we have decided on October this year and I am not a happy camper..don't think he will be either when he realizes the crowd levels will be much higher and the heat will do us in (in October, we usually alredy have at least a foot of snow on the ground!)...

In my opinion, it is the very best time to go!!!

We were there this past November and loved it. We were there the first week of November and the weather was great. Shorts during the day (except for a rainy day) and it was still nice enough in the evening to enjoy the jacuzzi or heated pool. The crowds were a little heavy due to "Jersey week" and all of the vacations postponed due to the huricanes but quite manageable. I would go back in November in a heartbeat! I think i have read that after Thanksgiving is getting more crowded... I could be wrong!!

Its a great time to go, take tons of holiday pics, enjoy the parades and bring a little bit of everything, the weather varies!!! Have fun! :flower:

We arrived the day before Thanksgiving 2003, Wed and Thurs were beautiful 75, sunny, short weather, we swam in the pools. Thanks goodness we did that then, woke up on Friday and it was 39 and cold! The crowds were not bad at all. We headed out Sunday for the Disney cruise. I was told the weather is very hit and miss, just make sure to have shorts and jeans, sweatshirts and t-shirts. Means more packing but you'll be prepared for anything.

We arrived that same Friday...it was 37 degrees when we left home with lots of snow on the ground and when we walked out of the airport, we froze to death...it was 34 degrees! could not believe that it was warmer at home! Stayed cool for pretty much the entire week.

We have been early November during Jersey Week as they call it, over Thanksgiving Week last year and many times the week right after Thanksgiving. Of course the best time to go for crowds is the week after Thanksgiving that cannot be beat for crowds (non existent) and rates but early November was not bad, Thanksgiving week got more and more crowded as the week went on, and though not Easter or Christmas crowded it was a bit too crowded for our taste.

Most of the time before Thanksgiving we have worn shorts...after T-day is a toss up, we have had wonderful almost hot weeks and cold weeks we spent in jeans....have fun... :sunny:

I agree that the weather can be hit or miss at that time of year...just pack for warm and cool temps and keep an eye on the forecasts while you're there. If you want to swim or do a water park, you should be prepared to be flexible so you can alter your plans and swim on the warmest day(s). We wanted to go to Blizzard Beach on our trip in mid-Dec. 2003 but waited until we were in Orlando to determine the best day to go. We also went the weekend/week following Thanksgiving in 2002. I really enjoyed that time of year--cooler, less crowded, decorated for the holidays, etc.

We were there starting Thanksgiving wknd and through the following wk when our cruise was cancelled back in 2002. The resorts were packed solid - couldnt get a deluxe or DVC room for 8 consecutive nights - ended up at a moderate.
I remember we had a day we left MK to go back to the room for winter coats before heading over to EpCot

We went the second week of November in 2004 and we wore shorts everyday and did a water park too. It was warm enough to swim 5 of the 8 days we were there. 7 of 8 days were sunny. At night we did put on sweatshirts 2 evenings but we never needed jeans. There was a 1/2 day of rain and that was the coolest day...maybe 68 degrees, but for us that was balmy for November! We just did shorts/rain ponchos and sweat****s that day and were fine.

Crowds were non existent and we got great airfare prices and our DVC membership used very few points that time of year too!

The weather can be very pleasant or quite cool. (I grew up in Winter Park, so I'm speaking from experience.) In the past, this was a nice, quiet time to visit. Now, this isn't always the case. More and more schools are adding long fall breaks. My school system has just adopted a week-long fall break at the beginning of Oct. My older ds (who is in a different school system from where I work) has 2 weeks off from the end of Oct through the beginning of Nov. Dh and I visited WDW over the long Halloween weekend this past fall and found most of the parks quite crowded.
