Have you been to the Halloween Party in the past?

villens are by small workld, jack and sully are by hm, pirates by poc from what ive heard. I dont know where they put mickey and friends last year. but they do have a map at 4pm when you go in for the early entry and i dont think chrs line up till party starts

Cool thx!

My goal is to find Mickey because DS will be going as Sorcerer Mickey for his costume. So we must find Mickey for him to have his pic taken with him.::MickeyMo

Does anyone know what the Mickey & Friends characters dress up as?? Any clues as to where they might be found in the parks?

And Jade- that makes total sense to me that they wouldn't start the meet & greets until after 7pm.:thumbsup2 Can you tell me if they go all night? Or are the characters only out during specified times??

i dont know that one id think all night but they may stop an hour before partys over

At the actual Halloween party last year, Mickey (and I think Minnie too?) started out in front of the Round-Up (or the Big Thunder Ranch area) for photos, in Halloween attire. They were there when the party began. I'm not sure if Mickey relocated later on. That's also a good area for collecting treats.

Goofy was in a Pirate-themed area, if I'm not mistaken.

Jack Sparrow, Hook and Peter Pan were alternating at the same location in front of Rivers of America.

Pooh & friends are in Critter Country.

It's easy to walk around and see which characters are where, but I think the dance stations and photo spots are listed (along with some of the treat trails) on the map thingy that is given out.

The villains have a photo spot at IASW in the daytime. I'm not sure if they stayed in that same spot at night or moved to other photo locations.

The characters wear different Halloween outfits in the daytime (around Town Square) than at night. Mickey & friends wear costumes in the daytime (like Skeleton Goofy and Pumpkin Donald) and then other things at night.

Last year there was a great treat trail in the POTC queue because POTC was closed. That one moved fast. I wonder if there will be a new trail set up this year to take its place - maybe in the queue for one of the other closed rides?

The Golden Horseshoe treat trail was fun because not only did it move fast, but there were also some Halloween decorations inside the building that were put there just for the party. Not a lot of decorations, but it's something!

I think the treat trails and stations are open all night.

Oh, forgot to mention in the previous post - one fun thing was that there was a dance station set up in Adventureland, not far from the Jungle Cruise, and one of the songs blasting from the area as we walked through early in the party was... "Welcome to the Jungle" by Guns N' Roses.

Gotta love that Disney pays attention to the details, right down to which songs will play at which stations in which lands!:thumbsup2

Cool!

Hey- one other question that I forgot to post....what restaurants are open during dinnertime?

We will be going into the party at 4pm and will NEED to find an actual restaurant to eat. Sorry folks, just can't snack & eat candy all night.:rolleyes1 Although I wish!

We will most likely be eating during around 7pm. Which I hear is usually a bit crowded as party folks enter & day guests leave. So IMO, this is perfect timing. Gets us out of the way during the busy time & it's not like we are wasting time- we need to eat. I'm hoping to give Cafe Orleans a try, do you think this will be open?? If not, any other good places?

as far as i remember, they pretty much all stayed open (CS..not sure about TS ie CC, CO and BB)...however, Im pretty sure CO will be open... but I would highly recommend AGAINST eating that late because the party is in full swing and A LOT of people will be eating too..suggestion would be to eat before the party starts..i have found in the past that anytime I plan on eating during one of the parties..it never happens and I end up eating afterwards off property because theres just so much going on that you just dont have time....

I would consider going through Mickey's House in Toontown a few hours before the party starts. You can get some cute photo ops while going through the house/waiting in line to meet Mickey. When you get to the end of the line, you can ask the CM if Mickey is on the Fantasia/Sorcerer's Apprentice set that day, and if so, the CM may allow you to wait for him. Even if Mickey isn't playing the Sorcerer's Apprentice at his house, you didn't spend party time to meet a character you could've met before the party.

The parks can get very crowded a couple hours before the party (and Toontown almost certainly closes during the party)...so you wouldn't exactly be wasting prime touring time.

That's a good idea, thx! We will be doing that!:thumbsup2
