We will be there the week after Easter and will have one day at Epcot. I just checked out all the food offered at the outdoor kitchens and so much sounds amazing. If you have already gone (I know it did just start) what was the best thing you tried? food and beverage. I'm not a big drinker but some things sound too good to pass up.

There is almost too much to choose from!

I have not been this year but I don't recall there being anything that I didn't like last year but here are my favorites from last year and on the menu this year:

Beef Brisket Burnt Ends Hash with White Cheddar Fondue and Pickled Jalapeños
Watermelon Salad with Pickled Onions, B&W Gourmet Farms Baby Arugula, Feta and Balsamic Reduction (GF) (V)
Seared Pork Tenderloin with Mushroom Ragoût, Spring Vegetables and Fingerling Potatoes

We were there last week and our favorite was the carne asada on a black bean cake from Florida Fresh. I could've eaten an embarrassing number of those. We also really liked the cider corned beef with sauerkraut from the Cidef House.

Haven't been yet this year, but my favorite last year was the Beef Brisket Burnt Ends Hash with White Cheddar Fondue and Pickled Jalapeños.

Seems to be getting great reviews this year as well, so I'm looking forward to getting it again.

It is so overwhelming because it all sounds so good -- so tough to choose what to get! It stinks I only have one day there this year. Next year is a family trip and we are at least planning 2 full days if not more.

Beef buns over in the China pavilion if they still do them. These put the hurt on my snack credits....

We had the beef brisket burnt ends hash (in American pavilion) and really enjoyed it. My parents said it was their favorite meal of the trip (to be fair, we ate all quick service).

The frushi in Japan was good. Nothing earth-shattering, but a nice little light dessert.

Got a macaroon in France too, and it was good.

I wish we had gotten to hit up more Outdoor Kitchens. Some of the other stuff sounded good, but we got hungry in American and worked our way through France before being full and ready to go (a big thunderstorm was on the horizon/radar).

We are going to try and pace our selves -- getting to try different treats in the morning (well 11am) then hit some rides then sample our way through the afternoon to the evening. I'm just trying to get my traveling partner to forgo our dinner reservations at Spice Road.

The key lime tart was large and very good
Didn't care for the burnt ends brisket (though I loved it last year) and they no longer have the Carolina BBQ sauce :(
The sausage in Morocco was very spicy

I am in this predicament as well! Going the same week and only have one day at Epcot!!! And we have a PPO at Akershus because of our little Princess o_O all I want to do it EAT LOL. I considered skipping Universal (which we are going to for the boys...so I guess I can't...) just to be able to add Epcot days for the food!

I was there the first weekend. I had:
- potato pancake with caramelized ham, onions and herb sour cream (Bauernmarkt ). SO good! I could have eaten several more. My wife doesn't like onions or sour cream but she loved this.
- Beef brisket burnt ends hash with white cheddar fondue and pickled jalapeños and Shipyard Maple Bacon Stout (The Smokehouse) oh yeah, this was awesome. I liked that they had sweet or spicy BBQ sauce you could top it with and that beer was the bomb.
Homemade Falafel (Taste of Marrakesh) This was good and I liked the pickled beets. I had no idea I liked beets.

We had the wild berry buckle, flancocho, crabless cake, and potato pancake with applesauce. All were fabulous. The la vie en rose is something we wish for all year long.

Another vote for the candied strawberries in China. Those were the best!! Also loved the watermelon salad (near the entrance to WS on the Canadian side) and the Frushi in Japan.

My kids and I had a wonderful time going from booth to booth. We chose one item from each booth to split for dinner one night. Had to get two orders of those strawberries!

Loved the beef brisket and water melon salad!!! Two of my faves!!

We were there five times during our trip from 2/24 to 3/8. We ate food from the kitchens every day but one. Our favorites were Frushi at Hanami, Seared Pork Tenderloin and Watermelon Salad at Urban Farm, Lamb Chop and Berry Buckle at Berry Basket. We also loved everything at The Smokehouse, Northern Bloom (especially the scallops and beef tenderloin) and Primavera.

For food, we enjoyed:
  • Potato Pancake with Caramelized Ham & Onions
  • Tarte à l’Onion Alsacienne
  • Carne Asada with Black Bean Cake
  • Beef Tenderloin Tips
  • Meatball Parmigiana
My favorite drink was:
  • La Vie en Rose Frozen Slushy

We were not fans of the burnt ends hash or anything else at The Smokehouse booth. It was disappointing since that was the booth we were most looking forward to trying. :confused3
We liked the Seared Scallops & Maple Popcorn Shake (non-alcoholic version) from Northern Bloom, Lamb Chop with Quinoa Salad & Blackberry Gastrique & Green Tea Berry Mint Julep (non-alcoholic version) from Berry Basket, Meatball Parmigiana & Strawberry Tiramisu from Primavera Kitchen, Cheddar Biscuit with Smoked Salmon & Lemon Scone from Cider House (we thought the best cider from the sampler was the cherry), Shrimp & Grits from Florida Fresh, Giant Raspberry Macaron from Fleur De Lys.
Since it was our first visit to F&G, I under allocated time we needed to eat at all the booths. I assumed since it was smaller thank F&W, we could try it all in two days. Nope. We skipped the Jardin de Fiestas & La Isla Fresca booths because we just couldn't eat any more! Next time I will definitely have to plan better. Everything else we tried was ok, but not something we would eat a 2nd time as we would for the dishes I mentioned above. Happy eating to everyone!!

Can you use a QS credit to but 3 snack items from one individual outdoor kitchen?
