was out to eat and get something that we wanted for the house.....BUT on our 25th anniversary....our family said we had to go someplace......so right before our 26th anniversary we went to Disney for the first time......five nights and we wondered the first minute there is why are we here.......and then.......WE GOT ADDICTED......we love it still.....so do our grown kids and their kids......it is nice when we go as a family affair......my kind of fun......
ummmmm yes... we went to Hawaii as our first "real" trip away from the kids. We renewed our vows on the beach at Sunset with Diamond Head in the background the evening of our 10th anniversary ***sigh*** so yes it was very special!!
We were there for 8 days. It was probably the closest Ive ever felt to my husband and it was heavenly!
Our plan was originally to go to Tahiti on our 10th anniversary. We were going through a rocky spot in the marriage, so nothing major was planned (I was happy to be speaking at the moment). I ended up planning an overnight at a local bed and breakfast (had a sitter stay with the kids). Things calmed down after that, and DH planned another B&B night for our last anniversary (14th), which was much more enjoyable!
My 10th isnt until July, 2005, but Ive been planning for quite a while, LOL! Unfortunately since DCL seems to want to change their schedule during that time my plans went out the window. I had hoped to do a 7 night Western cruise(with the kids), but I finally gave up on waiting and booked it for October 2005.
So now that leaves our actual anniversary open and we came up with the idea of maybe going to Vegas for a long weekend without the kids. As long as I can work out a babysitter for a few days, that is what we will do.
It wasn't on our actual anniversary, but we did WDW and DCL with the kids for our 10th. We did WDW and the Big Red Boat for our honeymoon and planned then that we would go back with any kids we had for our 10th.
It's a little hard to remember, since we are going on 36 this year! I believe we went to Hawaii for our 7th, so I am having a hard time remembering exactly what, if anything special, we did for the 10th. On our 25th we also went to Hawaii, and for 35 we went to WDW for the umpteenth time and had a great night out at Artist Point.
We celebrated our 10th last summer--in the middle of a move out of state-selling and buying houses, etc.... so we are having the big 10th anniversary celebration this summer instead at...you guessed it: WDW!!!
My DH and I celebrated our 10th on 9/12/01 with plans to take a cruise, but needless to say, since it was a day AFTER 9/11, we didn't go anywhere..............have since spent a couple weekends every year in our favorite spot, Ogunquit,Maine.
