Johsonset>> Sounds great! I am still working on DH. He is not as positive, or shall I say, more towards the negative, when I started spouting off days/prices on airfare.

BT>>I hope I didn't interrupt too much of your shoot! I don't think your DH knew what do to with me once he answered the phone! LOL

*hoping for some PD to land in DH's brain today!*
Debbie

Good morning to all! I think I have a cappacino hangover! ANd I miss the GF!!!
Re-entry is so hard, isn't it? I've only been back 4 days and I'm knee-deep in Christopher Columbus costumes for DS and hunting down cool 70s clothes for DD. His is a school project; she's in the school variety show. And then there is the decorating project I didn't finish before we left - painting the sun porch! Throw in laundry, cooking and bills and I WANT TO GO BACK!!! Thanks for letting me whine.

So while we were at Disney, I asked the kids what they thought of me bringing each of them separately to the World (really good rationaliztion and thank you
Debbie for the idea!

DD is so stuck on GF that's where we will go but DS isn't sure. He's not crazy about change so he says either BCV or GF but I'd love to try AKL. What do you guys think? How can I get my 11 year-old boy psyched about AKL? Or what about WL? Maybe that's something to consider. ANy input?

By the way, I did some restaurant reviews if anyone is interested:

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=668933

I've put out some monstreudel and swetschen knoedel - trust me , you'll love them or my Austrian grandma will scold you from heaven!

Welcome home steveanddonna. Glad to hear the Poly is shaping up. Just might give them a try afterall.

Debbie - I love it. I say go for it. I am sure that you can wear DH down. ::yes::

Have a great day!

How can I get my 11 year-old boy psyched about AKL?

My sons all three loved the AKL a couple of years ago. They really liked the pool, animals and feel of the place. At the time they were 14, 12 and 7. Although the rooms were smaller and darker than what we're used to, we spent so much time watching animals on the balcony, that it didn't really matter too much. We have some great video from that trip.

Alice, have a wonderful, relaxing trip! :wave2:

ValerieK, you are SO CLOSE! I completely understand about buying too much stuff! Don't worry, we need it of course! :teeth:

minniesota, thanks for the wonderful restaurant reviews. I really enjoyed reading them. :)

Does anyone have the e-mail for guest services? I called this morning to book a suite at WL for next May. I was told that they haven't been release yet????? I've never had a problem booking early.

I thought I might ask guest services what is going on.

Thanks. :D

FloridaFam....e-mail addy for Valerie (D.O. of Guest Services for WL) is Valerie.A.Charron@disney.com

minniesota...thanks for the reviews. I've wondered about Le Cellier. We ate there a long time ago, and were less than impressed, but haven't tried it since they did the big change...will do so on this trip, I think....

Oh well, time for me to head back to the office....

Made some fresh cranberry bran muffins for y'all....need to find some double bergamont earl grey tea....or i'll not be a friendly susan today!

BT - Thanks for the info on the balcony size of the 2 bdrm suite at CR! I was looking at the Pres suite there with MIL and her was dropping at the sight of it especially with that oh so cool tub with the faucet. Does the 2 bdrm have a jetted tub in the master bath?

Bye, bye - Alice! Have a blast and have a drink for me, :drinking1

Donna - Welcome back!

Debbie - Christmas at the WL! You go girl...as far as your DH goes...wear 'em down, wear 'em down - LOL! Any hopes for plans at AKL this summer?

BTW, will IPO arrange to have the b-day pin in your room upon arrival. Is this a package? How do you go about getting one?

hockeymom,

Were you able to get an AP rate for WL CL? I was offered one earlier this month for those same dates.

There are some pretty good deals to be had, even at Christmas time.

We just wanted to do something different this year. Christmas at WDW would have been wonderful but DH's work schedule changed so we are going to go over to Disney's Vero Beach Resort instead.

WL or AKL would be my top choices for Christmas. Being from Michigan, WL would just feel "right."

Let us know what you decide.:D

Thanks, BT, for my new clippie! It's wonderful! ::yes::

Big hello and room wave :wave2:

I am still flying high from our wonderful trip to WDW. I still have laundry to do, the house to pick up, and stuff to put away. Maybe I'm just in denial and don't think I am home yet! LOL

Did I tell you my husband has fallen in love with concierge and ALK. HE wants to go back! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

I have meaning to tell you all that AKL has made a couple of changes in their lounge. They certainly didn’t impact my DH or myself, but I know the lizards would want to know. I think that Storybookmum was looking forward to the oatmeal for her daughter, but I may be mistaken. It could have been someone else. Anyhow, they do not have oatmeal any longer. They also do not have bottle water for you to take with you. They do have a large bottle of water to prepare a glass for yourself. They have added beer, you just have to ask and they will get you a beer or glass of wine anytime after 11:00 AM. The host told us this when we checked in. ***It was suggested that we all may want to write letters, as Disney is trying to make ALL the lounges the same. It was said that the oatmeal was one of the things that set AKL apart. And oatmeal is certainly not a money issue. ***

We stayed at AKL CL for six nights; the food and items placed out were wonderful. However, I did not ever see Zebra domes on the evening dessert cordial table. The second to the last night I mentioned how I had read about them on the Dis Board. Jeff told me that they go down and pick up whatever Boma and Jiko prepares for them. He said he would ask. The next evening (our last night there) Jeff brought out a plate of 6 Zebra domes to my husband and myself after we were seated. He had them on a plate covered with a cloth napkin. They were WONDERFUL! (There weren’t any on the dessert buffet). It certainly was sweet of Jeff to do this for us.

Debbie - You deserve this trip for Christmas. Your whole family does with all you have been through recently. I am sending prayers and Pd your way.

Minniesota - Welcome back! Thank you for the reviews. I have now added a couple more places we need to try. And girl, you are entitled to whine if you want, sounds like you have lot going on. I think I'll stay in my denial stage for a little longer.;)

Floridafam - How are you and the little one feeling these days? Have you started to get the second trimester energy spurt yet? My daughter is 17 weeks and still tired out.

BambiTambi - On line photo shoots for you NEW online Web store. Wow! You are one busy gal. When does it premier?
Thank you for your offer of help for a picture. I'm going to try and work through it this weekend, but I will take you up on your offer if I can't “get it”:flower3:
