Having made last minute changes to our ressies at WL (upgrading to CL) we just received our Concierge package. My DH is not real happy putting the CC on the form for dinner ressies and MAILING it back to the CM. Same with faxes. (although it did include a fax number for WL if anyone is looking for it) We haven't received any emails from a CM either. Is there another way to contact them?
Also, you all have the BEST ideas for surprises so I am reaching out: It is my DN's first time ever to WDW and I would love something special to be waiting for her when we check in. She is 16 and super sweet. Any thoughts?
I have a couple...which are WONDERFUL for a young girl turning 16. Our own DD turned 16 while in Orlando last summer, and we took her on a "surprise" Eastern Cruise on the Disney Wonder! We had taken the Western the summer prior, and she expressed a desire to take another. But I told her the cruise is SO pricey...we should wait and go on another in a couple of years. Well, you can only IMAGINE her surprise (SHOCK actually) as we pulled into the ship area, for me to "Take Some Photos of the Wonder!" We had told her we were on our way to KEY WEST for a week. Since she LOVES Key West, and trusts us completely...she never questioned our plans. When the security guard at the little kiosk informed me I would need a "boarding pass/docs" to get any closer (even for photos), DH whipped them out!! It was then she exclaimed, "Are we TAKING this CRUISE?" DH & I said, "YES!!" She said, "I thought we were going to Key West?" DH answered, "Oh, we are...as soon as the ship returns to this port!" It was PERFECT...and she remained in a stunned state of bliss until we stood on the balcony of our suite to watch the ship depart from the dock.

And...How she will begin her celebration as a GRAD from HS? This June...on the DISNEY MAGIC when she ports here in Los Angeles!!

She LOVES the
DCL, for sure!!
Of course...there are many other "wonderful" things to do to surprise your DN on her special day! Order room service Breakfast, and be sure to inform them of her BD. Tell the room service manager you will need one of the plates to be empty (with the domed silver lid) as you wish to place a GIFT on the plate! I did this on DD's BD a couple of weeks ago while here at the Dolphin, and placed a STEIFF FROG PRICE purchased in the Germany (Der Teddy Baer Toy Shoppe) Pavillion under the dome!! She was so pleased, and surprised.
Also, there is a WONDERFUL woman named "Tamara" (TC) whom will travel to your room/suite and give your DN a FULL Manicure & Pedicure for $35! A Pedicure alone is $25, and a manicure $20. She is a SWEETHEART...and you will LOVE it! If you require her email to set-up a surprise appt. in advance, just pm me!

It's a wonderful way to TREAT your DN to some special "girly" pampering!!
Goofy's muse~What a great post...this week, I'll be wondering all the same things! I already bought DD's school books online (special site), and the $596 cost SHOCKED me back into the REAL WORLD for a couple of seconds! (LOL).

But, I recovered quickly and enjoyed some CLUB offerings!!
Steffy~Thanks so much!!
BT~I've missed you too, sis. I have also been thinking of you, all the time. Like you, I always prefer to PRE-PAY my visits to the world, leaving the $$$ I bring, to SPEND on luxuries!! (LOL).

Thank you for the prayers...I truly believe in their power.
Tess...~Yep, I know how you feel. My MIL stayed in her home, on the waterfront. She had a neighbor tie-down the yacht, and placed life vests on her two little dogs. She is a recent widow (about 16 months), and wanted to stay put. Thank goodness there was not big water surge with Charley, but she suffered some damage to her home (Trees lost, broken windows, solar panels gone, lanai over the pool/patio gone, etc.). She is just "happy" to have her life, where others lost theirs.

I am praying it does not hit anywhere NEAR her, as it would be more than she could take.
Just got off the cell w/DB in Melbourne Beach. Winds are at 50+, and the sea is rising! The waves are huge, and there is debris all over the roads, etc. They have a sort of huge walk-in safe/panic room to get in if the storm gets too bad/rough. I'm still stressed, but feel safe here in WDW.
Hope you are all staying SAFE and DRY, and looking forward to returning to the MAGIC after Hurricane season passes~!!
{{HUGS}} to all in the lounge, thanks for all the delicious food & bevs!!
