Great picture....just love those smiling faces....you guys look like you are really enjoying yourselves.

Now is it just me? If JGates took the pic, then how is JGates in the pic? I am guessing an automatic timer on a camera sitting on a tripod...
...but then again the S/D Sorority gals have been known to perform some magic on occassion.

AHHH sorry! It is HER camera. Either her daughter or mine took the picture. BTW, we even had permission to pool hop! We asked EVERY CM we knew; we even went out of our way to find CM's to ask them! Let us just say we had a great time at the GF tea, the champagne was great, every glass of it, and you'd truly think we'd been friends for years the way we all got along and shared there.

Great photo! But DF doesn't look like the photo of her in the pool on the birthday raft.

Big news at our house tonight! DS(3 1/2) starts school in Sept and needs to be potty trained. He's been resisting-keeps saying "tonight" his only word for anytime in the future. On the ride to/from Maine he stayed dry both times 4+ hours. And he's dry most nights. So today I told him he was wearing undies. He kept them dry all morning and when DH took him to the beach I told him he was wearing just his suit and he couldn't pee or p**p in it. He told me "I'm a big boy now". So he came home from beach and stayed dry and p**ped in the potty!!!! We are SO proud of him and he's so proud too. I was going to go to BJ's today to buy more diapers (tax free day in MA). I never made it so I guess I'll hold off a few days and see how he does. Disney will be a lot easier with just 1 in diapers!

I appreciate your input and I'll check those dates at BWI CL. I guess it's as KerryCM said, "I was meant to go with both a postacard and an email. Thanks everyone for the answer to my "Clash" question. I guess it's time for me to get on the phone tomorrow with the WDW planners and see what's available.

I Loved the picture in the pool too - they say a picture is worth a thousand words - fellow LL's are there a 1000 words to describe sheer pleasure and happiness and magic and (oh, I guess I answered my own question, there are over a thousand).

I go to my knee doc on Monday, hopefully he'll okay my trip.

Continued prayers and PD for everyone affected by Charlie and its aftermath.

So glad to see all of our lizards are okay.... My heart goes out to all the CMs and fellow disers whose homes have sustained damage. Charley was packing!!

My last go round with a hurricane at Disney was 1989 when I cruised with Hugo. At least we were able to get out of his way!!!

BT love the mouse story! You have such fun at Disney. Loved the pics of you and all of the lizards. What a young looking Mom you have!!! And I'm glad your Brother and SIL made it through the accident okay. You'll have fun outfitting your niece!!

The summer has just flew for me. I can now start planning in earnest. I certainly hope they will not make sweeping changes in CL before I get there. First the water... what's next?? Tell me the latest rumors........

Weren't the opening ceremonies for the Olympics just wonderful? I loved the rings of fire on the water....

Hope I won't be such a stranger anymore. It has been a really rough 4 months......but I see the rainbow.....

Steffy-nice to see you around! I wouldn't worry about your DGS some babies never crawl. In Jan Emma was 10 days shy of 1 and she was not walking. I think in many ways that was easier! She would nap in her stroller and when we went back to the resort for an afternoon break she would get some "floor time" crawling around the room while her brother & sister napped. We went to the zoo after she was walking and it wasn't a lot of fun. She didn't want to ride in the stroller while the others were walking around and when we let her walk she would just stand there-wouldn't walk alone, wouldn't hold our hand...we had to carry her which didn't make her too happy either. There's no stopping her now!

mmausse No doubt about it - you must not tempt fate and fate is definitely saying that you belong in WDW! I am sure of this because we booked our December trip just hours after returning from the Poly and it was all because there was a postcard waiting for us....

I got an email, too, but I'm trying to fit in a trip in between all these fall and holiday shows....it's not happening.

Oh, well....I got the 1 bedrrom Princess Suite booked for the January marathon, so we can entertain other lizards and have another mini-meet....hint! hint! (ead)

PLUS....I was able to secure the Steeplechase and Sonora Suites for May 15th for the week.
Ya'll need to let me know who's in on this one, OK?

First part of May is completely booked! BOO-HOO!
Unless, we forget about the suites and get our own concierge rooms.
Whadda ya'll think?

Also, thinking of also having a AKL LIZARD meet during the summer, since the teacher lizards could attend that one!
(gee, I wonder who I'm thinking of for this one? )
The Royal Kuba and Assante suites are calling our names!

francie...I've just heard about the changes for a central IPO.
Other than that, I just hope that they renovate the suites on the 14th floor of the CR and add direct concierge check-in at the BWI.

Teacher lizards, I wonder who that could be? I attempted to see both of those suites, but they were both filled so it wasn't possible. I keep on telling DH that I am going to live in my two bedroom suite and they can visit me when able. You just can't get that kind of ambience in Michigan! I might be spending a few days in November in Disney if I end up at the Edison conference in Tampa again. I'll take my mom on her second trip ever to Disney, and might be able to get my aunt on her first ever trip! (I have no idea how I was born into a family like this... non Disney visiting people*

I am in terror here! The first day of school is tomorrow and that means MOI! LOL I won't have kids until Thursday, but my vacation is OVER! I feel like I need to go collect pencils or something. Instead, I am rushing through the last cleaning jobs around the house! DS doesn't go back till after Labor Day, so he's just laughing at me. I must find new chores for him!

BT You know I am in for the May trip!!!! I think it would be so much fun.

#1hm As a retired teacher all I have to say is have a wonderful school year! I am beginning my 3rd year of retirerment and am still missing the kids, but not my job.

Well, meals are cooked and in the freezer, gave Jim a quick lesson in using the washing machine (again) and the house is pretty clean. the remodeling will be completed tomorrow and carpet and furniture cleaned Tuesday. I would say I am all set for my big day on Wednesday.

I will be thinking about you on Wednesday, Kerry. I don't know if you told us you were a retired teacher before but you "feel" like one from your writing! I have many years ahead of me since I went back to college late, the plus is that my years as a parapro count towards my retirement! I just know this [surgery] is all going to come out very well in the end! You'll be all better and you get a bonus of a super clean house! The carpet cleaners were on my list all summer and I kept on forgetting my list! After a few weeks back I'll see if I can fit them in with my daughter's schedule. Hockey starts back up this Friday which means the busy season is on!

In case, I don't get another chance to post before we leave, want to say goodbye and a big thank you for the help received from this thread.

After a year and a half of planning, we are leaving Wednesday morning for a four night stay at AKL concierge and then its off to our first ever cruise on the Wonder.

BT - I'm in for either time frame in May. The suites sound like more fun, but I'm OK either way. DH might get awfully jealous, but he can join me at the Poly at the end to make things right!

I think DH & I have become ambassadors for WDW - my FIL, who dislikes travel VERY much, just asked if he could come with us in October, so now we have MIL & FIL. Luckily, concierge rooms opened up at the Poly when I called this AM, so we were able to get them their own room. I think everyone wants to know what could possibly make us go back over and over and over... I hope we haven't elevated their expectations too much!
