Great picture....just love those smiling faces.

Now is it just me? If JGates took the pic, then how is JGates in the pic?

hockeymom - I hope you know I was just poking fun at the way you said it. Hope you did not take any offense, as I meant it kiddingly....

OH! I wish you knew I was laughing when I read that line! I hope all of my comments are taken with a light heart, also, since that is usually how they are meant to be unless it is on a serious note. Please don't worry as your comment made me laugh! We had a great time "pool hopping" and discussing the posts associated with them.

Have a wonderful trip, Pat! Please say hello to everyone for me, especially Karen Jean, Tanya, Wesley and Mike! *Ken is now retired from there I believe, and Don wasn't there during my last visit but was on a much earned vacation* I am hoping my mini African rug stays on the shelf as it looked great there. Please check on it for me! :)

I need to go check out those trip reports!

Debbie

Oh, well....I got the 1 bedrrom Princess Suite booked for the January marathon, so we can entertain other lizards and have another mini-meet....hint! hint! (ead)

PLUS....I was able to secure the Steeplechase and Sonora Suites for May 15th for the week.
Ya'll need to let me know who's in on this one, OK?

BT, you KNOW I am in for a mini-meet in January! I cannot wait to finally meet you "in real life" LOL!

I am in for the May Lizard Meet--PM on the way. :Pinkbounc

BT - It was GREAT talking with you this evening! It's like I've known you forever.....I'm definitely in for May 15th, just let me know where I need to send my check! How's THAT for commitment. Oh, I'm using my laptop modem to send this, BTW.

KerryCM - I know you are "excited" about your micro-vacation in the hospital, but I know everything will be alright. I am sending my strongest PD and prayers to your docs and to you! Just relax and enjoy the meds:Pinkbounc and rest up for your next trip to WDW and our LL meet in May. If you need anything, just let me know.

I spoke with our mutual good friend and WDW CM, Robin, and informed her of our upcoming LL meet in May. She is glad we're staying at BWI (as are we), and I said we would be setting a new standard for fun for Disney's Magical Gatherings:teeth: ! We'd turn the place on its "ears!":earseek: :hyper: :wave2:

I have put cordials, brandy, and hynotiq out on the sidebar for all to enjoy. Along with some chocolate truffles (flown in fresh from France) and fresh peach flambe (made with Georgia peaches). ENJOY!

Thanks for remembering me, wonderful lizards!!

KerryCm everytime I see your signature, it makes me smile.....

K&C&A's mom I have counter envy... 15 hours.. You're practically there!!!

BT May 15th it is!!!!

And BTW, the lounge at the Poly is open all night isn't it? I mean, if I want to get up at 3:00 am and read a book, that's okay right?? I loved being able to curl up in front of the lobby fireplace and read at the WL.... just loved the Lodge.

My DD is FINALLY getting excited about our trip. We had lunch today (with my DGkids too) and created a rough itinerary. I booked the RPDE for my DSIL today. The trip is coming together...:hyper: :bounce: :Pinkbounc

Well, I'm off to finish watching the Olympics.... grabbing a Kahlua and coffee off the sideboard.....

Alright , Steffy! I'll count you in!:teeth:

mmausse...:wave2: Glad you could join us tonight!
YES! It IS like we've known each other forever!
::yes:: :sunny:

I just LOVE this place!

Kerry...you are in good hands and in ALL of our thoughts and prayers!

Whoa! I just had a thought! How about inviting Jackie and Robin to join us one night for a LIZARD PJ PARTY!
We could pull an "all nighter"....lizard-style!

(they would have to have the next day off, of course!);) :p

now....I'm going to watch the Olympics and enjoy some fresh Georgia peach flambe!!! and a decaf latte!

I think that's a GREAT idea BT, and, since we all know they do read this board... Ladies, what do you think? ::yes::

We'll be in touch with you for sure. .:chat:

Nighty-night for now

Your plans sound great! I left out the breakfast offerings a bit early today, so please wander in whenever you are ready and enjoy! Of course, the "machine" is going and in full force! *Oh, I miss that cap. machine!) As a special treat, we have frunch and smoothies out this morning!

The weatherman said summer was back. Figures it would be on the first day back to school! Happy Monday!
Debbie

Debbie - Hey, girlfriend, have a great first day back!!

DD and I are headed to the airport, see y'all when I get back!

School resumes for students in our district next Monday--I am SO dreading the day to day grind that IS school! I guess I should relax and enjoy it though--only four more years and my babies will be in college!   I am so NOT ready to be an empty nester. . .

Debbie, have a good first day back!

Kerry, prayers are going out to you!

mmausse, BT, and everyone else, a Lizard PJ party sounds great! Can it be a princess PJ party? I have been dying for an excuse to wear my tiara, LOL!

So far, if I can count correctly (which I probably can't :teeth: ), then these Lizards are coming to the May Lizard Extravaganza:

BT
mmausse
Steffy
steveanddonna
KerryCM
and me

Looks like a GREAT group to me--anyone else "in"? :)

I'd love to join you guys in May but not sure how to explain to DH who would be left home with 3 kids alone. I'll have to talk to DSis to see if she'll take my oldest then DH would be home with just 2 (which I've done before:teeth: ) I of course couldn't tell him I was meeting friends I'd met on the net so I'd have to find someone to go with me and tell him it was a b-day trip. I've got $94 in airline vouchers and will be buying an AP. Hey maybe I could take my Dfriend who goes with us to help with the kids. I've got the $94 in vouchers for her too and AP. Can you lightly pencil me/us in? We could get a CL room so you wouldn't have to hold to space for us in the suite since we aren't ready to commit yet. It sounds like so much fun-how can I pass this up?

Kerry-you are in my thoughts and prayers this week!

The idea of Concierge sounds wonderful!
But I was getting info from some forum-ers that its not worth the money.
But, now I'm having second thoughts.

I was thinking of the Poly and the Animal Kingdom.
I see you've been to both.
Which do you prefer?

There will be five of us, all grown teenagers. Some say there wont be room, but I'm thinking with a balcony deluxes...we can escape some congestion.

Should we book 'conierge' or wait and try for an upgrade?

Thanks for you info:chat:

Cath-I haven't done AKL CL but just want to say that one great thing about concierge is that you can "spread out" to the lounge. When we went to Poly LVC there was me, DH, DD(4), DS(3), DD(1) and another adult friend along with a full size crib, double stroller and single stroller. Having the lounge to relax in was great. I found with 3 small kids concierge was well worth the money and I would think you'ld find the same with teenagers(though you won't need turndown to get rid of smelly diapers). Having the breakfast and snacks was also worth it for the convenience factor alone let alone any savings.

Welcome to the Lizard Lounge, Cath

It's just a matter of personal preferences. As lovesdumbo said, having that lounge as a get away is invaluable. If your teens are late sleepers and light eaters at breakfast, you'll probably save a bundle on breakfasts - it's great not having to wait for everyone to get dressed and ready before gatting that first cup of coffee. If you're basing it on a dollar-for-dollar return on food, beverages, etc., it's hard to say whether you'll "break even" without knowing your dining habits, appetites, etc., but there are so many advantages to staying concierge, I think it's at least worth a try.

ctrezek - Cath Let me just add that the planning that concierge staff can do is wonderful. I just got off the phone with Alana from the BC/YC/BWI IPO office.

They have arranged all of our dining reservations, accommodating each request we had. Even making many changes as our whole trip began to take shape.

They have arranged to have gifts in the room for our children, and even to send something to our DSIL, who will be visiting during our stay.

They have been very helpful getting us information on times and activities in all the parks.

My wife just mentioned how easy it has been to plan this vacation, having IPO as our helpers. And they are just so wonderful to talk to. Always cheerful, and friendly. Concierge has been very worth it to us, even before we have eaten any of the food ;)

ctrezek I think a lot of the negative posts have been using the "I only sleep in the room" thing that my husband used to say. Concierge is sooooo much more than a room. It is an experience. The no hassle of planning is wonderful. Being able to go to the lounge, sit and relax with a drink and have a great conversation with the cast is great. My husband will not stay anywhere else now.

lovesdumbo I sent you a PM. I got the package today. You are the best! Thank you so much.:wave2:

This will be my seventh trip to WDW but my first concierge experience. (leaving Wednesday for AKL and I'm jumping out of my skin I am soooo excited) You'd think I'd be packing but here I am on the DIS boards.

What a pleasure it has been planning this trip having IPO for reservations, suggestions, etc. Just a quick e-mail and usually within the hour I have a response. I felt pampered before I even arrived. My only fear is I already feel so spoiled I'll never want another disney vacation without CL.

Pat
