BT Sorry to hear about your brother and SIL. I hope all is well for them. I will keep them all in my prayers. I cannot wait to see your pictures.

steveanddonna I love the pictures. You look like you had a great time.

#1hockeymom I hope your parents stay safe. I know it is a mess down there. I will be trying to call Jackie later at home.

I am off to finish last minute cleaning arrangements before my hospital stay. My poor husband is beginning to realize all I do around here!!!!!:)

have a great day everyone

I just got an e-mail that Charley has been upgraded to a Category 4 storm. May God be with all our citizens in Florida.

Prayers & PD to you and your family, #1hmom and also to all our WDW friends. We have such affection for so many of the CMs this is especially nerve-wracking.

Prayers and PD for you, too, BT and for your brother/SIL.

I'm at work today, but I can't help checking every half hour or so on the storm. Aida, Melissa, Kathy, Stan, Ivette and all the rest of our Poly family are in our thoughts and prayers!

I did get a hold of Jackie at home. Today is her day off. She said they are going to be hit hard. They have a storm cellar and it was all set. Her children put everything they needed in it. She is in a low area so she also needed sandbags. I told her I was thinking of her and praying they all do OK. She told me she will call me later in the weekend to let me know how they all are.
It must be so scary to live through this.

Kerry & YCFAN - Thanks for the updates. I, too, have been glued to the Weather Channel all afternoon, very worried about all our FL friends.

Bambi - That story really made me LOL!! All I could think of was the scene in Caddyshack, where Bill Murray grabbed the Baby Ruth out of the pool and ate it, people screaming and fainting all around him!

Alice dear, your pm's are full! I sent your reply back regular email. Thank you for thinking of me.

Thank you to everyone else, too! At 1:30 my mom and her husband left their (nice low and near the coast) house, thank God, for NE Sarasota on much higher ground, further inland, and a relatively new condo where my Aunt lives. I haven't heard from them now, nor can I get a hold of them but I am confident they are doing fine and phone service is just bad right now.

I pray everyone in the storm's path stays SMART and SAFE. I know it is over Disney right now and I am definitely praying for everyone there.

Debbie

I just received an email from Don at AKL's concierge. I wrote them quickly sending my prayers for their safety there. He was nice enough to write back! (I didn't know who would be getting my letter). He's part of the "ride out" crew and says "we're holding tight and so far so good". I thought many would want to read this so I am posting it.

On a lighter note, isn't it amazing all the people we can call friends because of the internet? The world is truly becoming smaller, and I believe this is a good thing!

Still praying and watching from afar,
Debbie

#1hockeymom - Thanks for posting the comments from Don. I am hoping and praying that everyone will come through this without incident.

BT - So sorry to hear about your Brother and DSIL. Prayers and PD to them and your family. Hope your mom is OK after hearing the news.

Oh and Bambi my son was thrilled to hear that BC CL has mac & cheese, his all time favorite closely followed by marinara pasta. OK, I was thrilled to hear about stone crab and sausage & peppers. And yes your mouse poop story was just to precious :rotfl:

k&a&c'smom - Here's wishing your trip is filled with all the joy, magic and PD that Mickey is famous for.

I too am praying for everyone. KerryCM, we are going to be staying concierge at the Boardwalk next December. Can you give me any tips?? What about ps for CRT & PSB...should I do those ahead of time? What are the food offerings? We had a Boardwalk view in 2002, but it was not concierge. I am excited!!

I TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU and , wait a minute, I think there's a song that voices that same opinion. Let me think, I believe it goes something like this (excuse me if I'm off-key): "It's a small world after all, it's a small world after all...." repeat ad infinitum until you can't get the song out of your head. Then calmly bang your head against the wall to try and rid yourself of the little ditty...:earseek:

BT PD and P to you, your brother and your SIL. How kind and generous you are to help with the girls school stuff. But Hey, we all here at the LL knew this about you already. BTW LOVED the Mouse poop story! Got your PM and I'll call tomorrow, too late now, to see how y'all are fairing.

To ALL our friends and extended-family members in FLA - we wish you to stay high and dry. If any of you need anything, we are here for you at the LL.

KerryCM - please give my best to Jackie and her family when you speak to her.

Night all and God Bless us in this ever -decreasing small world!

BT>> I negated to post this, but know your family is also in my prayers. You are such a great aunt to take over in this time of need.

Mmause>> OH! That song! You're in for it now, lady! LOL I can't believe I posted all of that, and NEVER in a second thought of that darn song! Now of course, I can't get it out of my head! *cracking up laughing*

I was dropped three times, *or she was*, but mom is doing fine and she said the sunset was just spectacular at my aunt's house! They will leave tomorrow morning to survey the damages at home if they are able to get across the bridges without being turned back.

Thanks again TammiMcMan. You've been very helpful. Hoping to try new things this time. Sometimes I feel like a kid, I can't wait to go. Maybe we'll try some different restaurants at GF-we are having dinner at Narcoossee's for my DH B-Day, and as for more romantic-you know how that goes, especially with a 5 and 8 year old!Anyway, Thanks again!-Stacey

I'm with you on that one! Every time I hear someone complaining about how cell phones, cable TV, the internet, (insert your favorite convenience here) is ruining the world I want to remind them that it's not the technology, it's the way people use it.

k&a&c'smom Hip Hip Hooray! You are getting so close. I have my fingers crossed that all the airport delays will be resolved and you will have as great a trip as we did.

Breakfast treats are on the sideboard, including some ymmy espresso with a side of hot milk (just like Ivette's mom made!)

steveanddonna & GoofyJoofy - Thanks for the well-wishes! I'm sure we'll have a great time - I'm with you Donna, my biggest fear is the airlines. If lots of people had to re-schedule their flights over the weekend, we may be pretty crowded on Monday! But, that's a small thing compared to all those people on the coast who lost their homes. So sorry for all of them.

mmausse - :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Debbie - Sent you a reply by email. So glad your folks are safe, sounds like they made the right decision.

samnbilly - There are AP discounts for GF RPC, but there are only a couple rooms for that discount, I think. So it can be very hard to get. We really love Narcoossee's, and 1900 Park Faire was great for dinner. Very nice buffet and the character interaction was excellent.

sfbank - We haven't stayed BWI CL yet, so I can't offer advice re: views, but definitely let IPO know that you want CRT and PSB - they will take good care of you!::yes::

So glad WDW seems to have only suffered minor damage! Glad everyone is OK!

Ok, I need y'all's advice. I've gotten a postcard AND an email. I have 5 days of UPHs. I LOVE BWI CL. I have the concern factor going on right now - for all of WDW and want to show my support - the best way I know how is, of course, spend money at WDW.

Problem: I have a huge charity event that I'm hosting at my house on 10/30/04. (BUT) that doesn'tr mean I couldn't go afterwards..... ). I HAVE to be home for Turkey Day.

SO

Should I stay or should I go.

And if I go, when.......

I'll drive, of course. It gives me a chance to "break in" my new hybrid SUV......

AND, anyone else going to be there so I don't get lonely.....

Look out Jackie & Robin, I may be back................sans niece, I want to have FUN this time and I promise to stay away from hot dogs.

mmausse You know I will tell yo GO!!!!! too bad you can't go in Oct also, but I know the BWI is full while I am there. It is meant for you to be there with the e-mail and the postcard.:bounce:

k&a&c'smom Have an awesome time! I know you will relax and enjoy, just what you need. Please say hi to Jackie, Robin and scott for me. I know jackie will be talking with my husband while you are there.

sfbank You will love the BWI, there is no other place as far as I am concerned!!!!:) The food offerings vary and from what I understand all of CL at all resorts will be undergoing some changes in the next few months. I would use trhe IPO for all of your PS arrangements. They are just wonderful. Their e-mai is WDW.YBBW.concierge@disney.com. I find this to be the easiest way to keep in contact with them. They are always prompt in answering their e-mails.

wdwfan I know you leave soon. Have a wonderful trip.

BT I hope your family is doing better. You must be having fun getting your neices ready for school.

#1hm Glad to hear you parents are OK. It was a devastating hurricane for that area.

I got an email from Annalisa at IPO telling me that the CMs are OK, but a lot of them have suffered structural damage to their homes.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to all those in FL that have suffered any kind of lose.

mmause-too funny! My little miss Emma was the easiest baby but once she hit 15 months she started getting a bit cranky and frustrated and I had no way to console her as she had never needed it before. Then I discovered in the car that she LOVES Small World (maybe she remembers the ride from our Jan trip?). Well we took a trip to Maine last weekend and she napped just before we got in the car for the 5 hour ride home. She started getting cranky a few hours into the trip and we listened to 1 1/2 hours of Small World on repeat before she fell asleep. Even her older brother & sister were asking "why does Emma like Small World so much?". We all survived and had a great time in Maine so it was a small price to pay. I'm disappointed that Small World will be closed in Oct. I would have loved to see her reaction to it. Last night I bought her the new Hallmark Small World Christmas ornament. AND...you just must go!

BT-loved your mouse story. We used to go to a restaurant called Road Kill Cafe. Their tag line is "never assume its a raisin". P&PD for your DBro & DSIL. It must be fun for you to take your DNieces shopping!

Debbie-glad your parents are safe!

Goofy & K&a&c'smom-have great trips!

k&a&c'smom--Thanks for response as well. I appreciate you trying to help. I have emailed and got a response back from Annalisa Sanchez already. I just had read that at 90 days is when they start contacting you and we all know you can't wait that long on some ps!!
KerryCM--thanks for your response and keep in touch..let me know how it goes on your next trip!! I keep telling myself we deserve this little "extra" as I said on another post we had a doctor tell us that the three of us were about an hour away from dying this January after a crack in our furnace caused us to have carbon monoxide poisoning. A call at 1:15 am woke us up. Someone was looking out for us but it goes to show you have to enjoy life while you can because you just never know...
