johnsonet The Mickey's are available at all the deluxe resorts. Just let your IPO know you would like one. I am not sure if it will be in a box, that had a BW print on it. I know sometimes they come on aplate with strawberries. This is what I will have for Carri's parents.

oooh ooooh, I love that store! I went through it more than once on my last trip, although I couldn't bring myself to spend the $$$ on the stuff there. I *loved* the lemon salt/sugar scrub, although I was too cheap to pay the $27.00 for it. Kept telling myself that I could make it at home. . . and did I? Nope! LOL!

I wish I had purchased some of those Massage Bars. . . I have *no* idea what they are used for--besides a massage?--but they sure smelled *wonderful*! I suppose they could be used as a skin moisturizer?

KerryCM Thanks for the tip! I am not staying on the concierge level at GF but I will call In-room Dining when I get there to see about my options. It's so much fun to come back to something festive in the room. I've always wanted to get some of those "tuxedo" strawberries

Originally I was booked for this coming Sunday through the following Saturday at the POLY LVC and staying my first night (this coming Saturday) at Port Orleans....well I couldn't stand the thought of driving all over and lugging luggage one extra time so I called and was able to add on this Saturday at my AP rate!

So now I will be inspired to get to the hotel ASAP -- we are driving and I am doing all the driving...it takes two days but we should be at the Poly shortly after 3 on Saturday - enough to make it worth it!

Congratulations on getting your first night switched! What an awesome feeling. I had a similar situation this past April (Easter week) where I was able to extend my stay at AKL an extra night at the AP rate at check-in. I had called repeatedly before leaving home and there was nothing, so I was really excited!
A week at Poly LVC sounds like heaven

Spoke to WoodysRU today - she's fine, just very busy. She can still use prayers & PD for good test results for DS as he has more testing coming up.

Have not heard back from Poly IPO yet; that's what I get for putting planning off for so long.

Oh yes, tinkerbella22 you asked about food at Poly CL. It varies evening to evening, but is always yummy. We've had delicious egg rolls, sushi (mostly cooked items), chicken satay, a macaroni & beef dish once, chicken lo mein, barbecued wings... Plus there are always cheese & crackers, crudites with dip, and fruit in the evening. There are also kids items, like PB&J roundwiches. Breakfast consists of muffins, Danish, bagels, oatmeal, whole fruit, cold cereals, English muffins... We hardly ever make it back to the lounge for desserts and cordials, but I remember key lime tartlets, chocolate mousse in a chocolate shell, chocolate dipped strawberries... And mustn't forget DH's favorites, the chocolate chip cookies (also oat meal and sugar cookies) that are out on the kids' table. It's his first stop after checking in!

Tinkerbella-you will love Poly CL. I read on another thread that you have 2 children. You will just love the convenience of the lounge. It is so great for 1 adult to be able to take the kids to the lounge while other get ready.

Donna-thanks for the great update on Woody-P & PD continue to go out to her & DS.

Goofy-have you checked Song fares again? I just did and got another $220 in vouchers. So now I've got $617 in vouchers for next year. Wish I could convice DH to go in Dec as well-airfare would be nearly free and we're buying AP's but he's not crazy about this trip.....

Love to hear about all the gift/surprise ideas. I wanted to do something for my DH but he's not into "things" so I'm going to send him on a garden tour at Epcot. I'm also thinking about maybe one of the Food & Wine Fest events for our friend that's going with us. Anyone experience those? I was thinking of Sweet Sundays but so many others sound good too.

I'm so sorry that I've been off the thread (and the boards) for a while. We were out of town for a few days last week and I've just been very very busy with the kids. DH has been working really long days and it leaves little time for me to do anything else but chase after my 1 and soon to be 3 year olds!!! Thanks to those of you who have asked about me and been so concerned about DS. He has another round of testing this Friday.

I had a wonderful conversation with steveanddonna (Donna) yesterday. She is such a great person and I really enjoyed our chat. We live in a huge metropolitan area and have discovered that she and her DH and I have lived in the same neighborhoods and even gone to the same schools. We hope to meet soon (after her Aug. trip)??
