Oh Woody-so so so very happy for you and your family! Doing a little happy dance for your miracle!:cool1: Will you be doing a counter? (Talk about counter envy! Well, actually 3 is all I can handle.)

fam4jc-welcome back! I have a reservation for a LVC room at Poly in Oct. Been twice before and was thinking I should switch to GV but I'm so afraid that I will be the one disappointed without the LV. Well I guess I'll wait and see if I can get an AP on that room before I think about switching. With 3 small children (5,3,1) it will just be so nice to watch the EWP, Fireworks, castle from the room. Maybe next year when kids are just a bit older I can think about GV..... And I just checked-we will be there for a full moon. I remember how beautiful/magical it was to watch the full moon rise in Jan-I think I better to keep that LV.

goodferry-welcome back! I wasn't able to see your photos at home or work  would really love to see them. Sorry to hear about the palm dude and towel natzi. When I went in Jan there wasn't any monitoring of the towels-maybe because it was so cold. We only had 1 key with us and used that to get the life jackets. When the baby started to crank DH didn't have a key to bring her back to the room. I told him to go ask if he could exchange his key for license but he wouldn't and the baby fell asleep in his arms. Now we know to bring 2 keys with us.

BT & VAgal-have a wonderful time! Can't wait to hear about the safari, Grand and desserts!

I think you're right about that, LOL! I'm doing GVC in December at the Poly, and I think I'm gonna miss my LVC a bit too (no matter, I'll still be at WDW!). Those castle views really are spectacular! ::yes::

Full moon November 26th so it will be pretty full for your trip. What a great time to go to WDW!

I remember in Jan looking out the window one early evening and seeing a bright ball of fire in the sky near the CR and wondering what is that? It was the full moon rising. I tried to take photos (full moon over the palm trees, CR in the background) but they aren't too good. This trip I'll try with my mini tripod. I was so excited to learn that the moon will be full for us again. We're there 10/22 to 10/29 and moon is full 10/27. I even checked out 2005 and it looks like if we go on the week I'm thinking of (10/17) it will be full again. Oh no-sounds like another LV room!

annamonte>> So sorry your DS is sick! I hope he feels better, soon!

THe full moon over the contemporary (via Poly) pictures sounds just beautiful!

I restocked the buffet! Help yourself and be sure to get a seat for the BT/VA sunset concierge discussion!

Bon Voyage BT and VAgal!

Debbie

Woody RU--What wonderful news !!! Take it slow and easy.

BT and VAGal--Have a great trip

Angel at AKL was wonderful to us and got apple juice for my little one that won't drink anything else, and even located some port for my DH.

I managed to keep the CL upgrade a surprise from my DH and it was worth it to see the expression on his face when the porter was explaining how to use the room key to get to the concierge lounge. He thought they were taking us there because our room wasn't ready and he said, "Well at least we get to see what the lounge looks like". The porter gave him the strangest look and said," Yes you can use the lounge anytime you want since you are staying concierge." It was too funny. He finally got it. As we were pulling into Orlando my DH had been saying that maybe we should stop at the store and by bread and cold cuts so the boys would have something the eat without going to the restaurants. He couldn't believe I had strung him along.

My 5 year old took to the lounge very quickly and when we were coming back from the pool the first afternoon he stated that he need to go to 6 before we went back to the room and pick up some goldfish and apple juice. I think I created a new lizard.

I am happy to report my DH thought it was well worth the money and the entire family enjoyed the sunrise safari. Also, the breakfast at Tusker House was outstanding. I couldn't believe the quanity and quality of the food. We also enjoyed the Wishes cruise.

I'll post more on the 3 day cruise on the Wonder later. I need sleep and to ease back into reality.

Bon Voyage Bambi and VAGAL - please give mybest to Jackie & Robin. Tell them I still haven't eaten a hot dog.

Fran999 - My doc says I'll be up and out the same day, barring any complications.

This is the BEST Lounge with the most caring people. You all have showed me more compassion than the rescue squad I volunteer with.

You REALLY ROCK!:Pinkbounc :bounce:

sojo33 - LOL! That's so great you were able to surprise hubby!! I can't surprise anybody, I get too excited and have to tell! Sounds like you had a great trip, and more lizards in the making!;)

mmausse - The same day, that is good news! We'll all blow extra pixie dust your way for a smooth operation!::yes::  And, I agree, these are the best gals around!:grouphug:

goodferry - I don't know how I missed this on your post, but we had the guy who looks like Morgan Freeman pick up our bags the day we transferred to AKL. He was great, got us a taxi and even though it took a little longer than we thought to check out, he was standing by the front door waiting for us, bags already loaded! He's a true WDW cm!::yes::

Big Wave to everybody in the lounge - have a good night!:thewave:

Good Morning all!!!

Thanks for all the good wishes about DS... after a rough night, his fever finally broke! It was a horrible stomach virus! Let's hope no one else gets it in the family!!

sojo33: Welcome back! Tell us all about it!

Ha Ha Ha!!!!!! As usual Steffy, YOU MAKE ME LAUGH LAUGH!!:rotfl:

Thanks once again for everyone's support (and now for the congrats)! I'm happy to report that I think the morning sickness has passed! I still have lots of aversions to many different foods and drinks though. (Horrible hearburn - worst I've ever had)! The cravings are kicking in big time! I made dumplings (of all things) at 11pm last night!!This morning, it's french toast and strawberries that I want so I made some for everyone and have it warming on a tray in the lounge. Enjoy!

Our big Disney news is that we pushed our trip up to Sept.! Yippee! Although we're disappointed we won't see the RPC/GF at Christmas, I can't fly that late in the pregnancy so we opted
for GF/SL for this trip. Only 3 months to go now. I just can't wait!!! :Pinkbounc :bounce: Only 1 week to go for the 90 day mark to make all our plans and PS's. Yahoo!!!!

Welcome home sojo33!!! :wave2:

annamonte>>>>Soooo glad to hear that your DS is doing better. Our kids have been sick for the last three weeks - passing it all back and forth. DS was at the hospital on Sat. and is back to normal now. I feel for you!!!!

Everyone....Have a "magical" day!!! :earsboy:

So happy to hear that everything is going well for you. What an exciting time for you and your family. Good thoughts and prayers for you that the rest of your pregnancy will be smooth sailing.
I can totally relate to the heartburn thing. I had it so bad with my first pregnancy, it felt like my chest and throat were on fire. Raising the head of our bed up a little seemed to help tho.

Welcome home sojo33...can't wait to hear all about your trip.

annamonte- glad to hear your DS is feeling better.

Just back from lunch w/darling niece & nephew (5 & 4). After paying, as I closed my wallet, my niece said, "Wait Auntie Donna! What's that red card in your purse?" She was referring to the eighth inch bit of my Disney Visa that shows above the slot. I told her it was my credit card for buying things, and she said, "For going on 'cation with Mickey, right? That word is Disney - I see Disney on there!" And I thought the only words she could "read" yet were zoo, milk and her name! I think we'll have to plan another kid trip sooner than we thought!

steveanddonna LOVED the story about your niece...how cute! Kids are so amazing with their cute little sayings and just have a way with capturing our hearts time and time again.

Yesterday my DS (9) had a friend over and he was going over each and every picture we took at WDW a few weeks ago. He showed his friend one of the volcano pool at the Poly and his friend said "I've been in that pool before!" I asked him when because his mom told me that they stayed at CBR. He told us that they ate at a restaurant there (at the Poly) and when they were finished with their meal they all changed into their swim suits in the bathroom and went to the volcano pool. My DS's jaw about dropped to the floor and he said "but you're not supposed to do that and if my mom tells you guys are gonna be in trouble!" Oh the joys of children.....:D

How funny, luckywife! :rotfl: Does that make you our very own lounge lizard towel Nazi?

I'm always amazed at how much our nieces/nephew remember about their WDW trips. My nephew was not quite 2 when we took him in 2001. So many people asked why we would take so young a child, believing he wouldn't really be aware or remember much. When we were looking at his sister's pix from January, he studied one that had Tomorrowland vaguely in the background, and after a bit said, "That's where I met Buzz." He also remembers having popcorn & hot chocolate for supper at MVMCP. I hope Disney never loses sight of what a valuable asset their name recognition & reputation is. I have no doubt that my nieces & nephew will be taking their own kids to WDW someday. (And, in the case of my niece, it will be concierge all the way, as she just loves that hotel with the "living room!")

Steveanddonna - LOL!!!:rotfl: Too funny!! Isn't that just like a kid, though, to spy that one little piece of something they find interesting! ("I see Disney on there!")

And that's great to know that they do remember things from so small - I've kind of been one of those who thought it wasn't a great idea to take them so little, I was sure they wouldn't really remember anything. Good to know, as I'm sure when I have grandkids, I won't be able to wait 'til they're 6 or 7!;)

I am a LL in the making. I am trying to plan our next trip and have just about decided to go CL. I am deciding between WL and Poly. I have a DS 9 and DD 7, DH also. The idea of getting the PS made for me is a great sell along with all the other "perks". Have any of you had trouble getting CRT through the concierge or do they have trouble too?

What about CL discounts or is that a snowballs chance in (you know where?)?

Hope to be an "official" member soon.

Kalen

How funny, luckywife! Does that make you our very own lounge lizard towel Nazi?

You are now the official pool monitor!!

Yeah! My first "job" in far too long....I'll take it! ;)

We took our oldest DS to WDW when he was only 2 and a half and he has one fond memory of his trip there and it was of "THE BLUE TONGUE." At the entrance to the parks they had a picture of some people on Alien Encounter, one guy had his mouth wide open and with the background on the picture it made his tongue look blue. That's ALL he talked about was how he wanted to ride "The Blue Tongue."

One of our best memories from that trip was this...DS was looking at some birds with my dad. My dad told him "don't get too close or they'll peck you." DS says in his *loudest* voice "Does that mean they're peckers?" :o (Hope that doesn't get me censored!)

I don't think any age is too young to visit "The World." To me even if the child doesn't remember it, the parents/grandparents/aunts/uncles etc will. On this trip we took our 19 month old DS and watching him give Mickey a kiss on the nose, or give Goofy a high-five or how he squealed with delight when he first saw Figment....PRICELESS!::yes::

ksy8384- WELCOME!

I am a new lounge lizard myself so I can't offer much help with your questions. We just returned from our first stay at Poly CL and it's WONDERFUL! I didn't ever try to get CRT but I've heard that IPO can work wonders with that one. All of the LL's here are in a much better position to help you out but wanted to say HI and WELCOME! You'll definitely enjoy your stay in our "lounge."
