Have y'all seen this!! Cricut carts

I just ordered one of those books as a Christmas present. Wonder if the recipient would notice a coupon was missing? :confused3;):rotfl2:

Okay Girls here is part one of the story...

We went to M's last night. Since DS was on the verge of a meltdown and had dried queso on his shirt from the dinner we just ate I decided to stay in the car. (Nothing like trying to wiggle a coupon with a screaming dirty kid...hello redneck city!) ;) I reminded DH to stick his ground and he was confident he could do so. He is more on the "they have to honor the coupon" kick than I am. So off he went. :thumbsup2 After a while he returned...with no bag. He got in the car and was grumbling and immediately got on his phone to look up M's number. The associate he interacted with was very rude. She was nice to him when he asked about the G, but when she saw the coupon her whole attitude changed. She told DH he could not use the coupon and when he disputed it she told him that Provo Craft would not allow them to use coupons on their products. :confused3 Seriously...PC gets their money when M's orders from them, they do not care what M's does after that! :sad2: When he asked to speak to a manager she told him one was not available. What?! So he just left.

After finding the number, he calls the store (from their parking lot) and gets a manager in literally 40 seconds (I thought one was not available :rolleyes1). She was very nice. DH explained the issue and the coupon. When DH told her that the coupon did not have the disclaimer and what coupon it was she got quiet and paused for a bit. She said, well that is different. She explained that she is the night manager and DH would have to call this morning to speak with the day manager who is the head of the whole store, because he is the only one who could handle the coupon.

So that is where we are. It sounds hopeful, but I do not have the G in my hands so I am still not jumping for joy. It is good to know that the manager was nice and helpful and did not have the customer service skills of a rock like the associate did. (I understand that they deal with "people" and these situations all day. I worked retail...in a tanning salon no less. You get some crazies and some crazy situations, but you have to handle it in a professional manner.)

So I am crossing my fingers and toes that "Mr. Head Manager" is helpful. :cheer2: We had this same coupon when I got my bug and the manager of this store (possibly the same person :confused3) agreed with us on that one. Here is to hoping it happens a second time! pixiedust: If it does work I will funnel all of my M's business and that of my friends to this location! :lmao:

I will update more as the story continues! :hippie: Thanks for the cheers and not thinking I am a total looney or trying to cheat the system! :goodvibes

I am sure they wouldn't! Just put a post-it in there saying Santa needed it. You can't argue with Santa! :santa: :thumbsup2

It turns out that Mr. Head Manager guy is a nice guy! DH called him a couple of hours ago. He questioned the wording on the coupon, but when DH explained exactly what coupon it was he agreed that they have to honor it!!!! :woohoo: He asked if we could come in before 5, but I am not sure if we can make it that early. He said he would leave a note for the night manager if not. SO...LONG...STORY...SHORT....

I will have my Gypsy this evening! :rotfl:

I cannot believe it! I love that it will have all the features of the design studio and the jukebox, but will be portable. (I am also glad that I resisted the urge to buy either of those products!)

YIkes...off to come up with a name for my newest baby. :cool1:

:hippie:

CONGRATS!!!!!! i'm so glad that they will let you use it!!!!
good for dh to sticking his ground!
:thumbsup2

I got the HSN bundle ... and got it 15% off with a new customer code ... and with the 4 easy payment of $66 and change it's not so bad.

Kinda like the Destinations cart but it wasn't one I would have bought myself. :-)

Oh wow, I didn't know about the 15% off! I just checked out the website and the Expression bundle that includes Life's a Beach is on sale for $315. If I can get almost $50 more off I will definitely order it. I found the code online, but I don't know if I have ever ordered from HSN before. They have my log-in information, but I honestly don't think I ever actually ordered from them. I put the Expression in my Shopping Bag and figured I would go through the checkout process and then cancel if it won't take the code, but it wants credit card info before I get to the page with the total. Does anyone know if it will let me cancel after I've entered the payment info? The next page appears to be Order Review. Help!

I just set up a new account with a different email address ... and bamb! I'm a new customer :D

I so want that destinations cart. I wish I had waited a few days. Only this week I ordered 7 others. Shipping is so expensive to here that I have to order them in bulk. I wonder if I can justify buying another.

Girls, I think I am in love with this gypsy. He is awesome. I played with it some last night and so far so good. I cannot wait to create my first project. I am making shirts for some family members for Christmas using the freezer paper technique. It is going to be so easy with this! I just had to share!

The short version...you cut a design out of freezer paper with the cricut. Then you iron the paper to the shirt with the waxy side down. Now you have a sealed edge stencil. Then you just sponge or brush paint into the holes. Once everything is dry you peel the paper off. It is supposed to look like a screen printed shirt. I will find a link with more detailed instructions and post when the kiddos go down for nap. It sounds super easy, and very cute! :goodvibes

Instructions for making using the Cricut are posted in their own thread. More basic instructions not using the Cricut are posted in the general craft section.
