I have been checking Expedia for a deal on the DL hotel...haven't had much luck so I felt I was stuck with the $209 a night rate I booked with the hotel. Last night I struck gold- $140 a night!!! We must have hit the magical time frame of being under 14 days from our trip. I was soooo excited! Can't wait! This will be DH's first time staying at the DL hotel, even though he's been to DL 15+ times.

How did you get that rate, I mean directly with Disney or something like Expedia?

With Expedia; since we are leaving in less than 2 weeks, their prices started really dropping!

Lucky!! I'm going keep trying Expedia in the weeks leading up to our trip and see if I get lucky as well! If not it'll be the Carousel for us....

You must be lucky! I just checked Expedia (we're leaving next Friday) and the average night stay for our 4 nights was $195. Did you do anything special or go through anything different? I'd love to get that rate -- we might be able to afford to stay at a Disney hotel! :)

The only thing that may have affected the prices was that we are staying Sun-Tues night; kind of off nights. I checked again last night just to see and Sun was $149 but the rest were back up over the $200 mark. I swear it was just timing. I did it a Monday evening, so I don't know if they load new prices in on Mondays or what.

I went to expedia the other day and by luck pulled up some kind of page with a description of the DL hotel (or PP). If you can get to that screen, then there is a calendar which will show you which days have the cheapest rate and which are the most expensive.

If I am not making sense, let me know...I can go back to expedia and then write down directions as I do it...I found it to be very helpful.

HTH, Susan

O.K., I thought my last email didn't make sense, so I tried it.

1. Go to www.expedia.com

2. Click on the hotels tab

3. Don't enter city, date, # of people...just click the blue that says something about Hotel name

4. Enter Disneyland hotel

5. Click the part that says "Availability and Prices"

6. Click "Are your dates flexible? Show rate calendar"

The lightest colored ones are the cheapest...for example August 17-20 are $140

Hope this helps,

Susan:sunny:

Thanks for the info Susan! :bounce: I'll use it when our time comes closer!
