Have to Cancel, 10/12 at SSR

Between my husband's illness and our financial situation, I am forced to cancel our trip for the 12th. We have a one bedroom at SSR for five nights. I will be calling around 9am in the morning to cancel...if anyone needs this :flower3: .

Sadly I pulled points forward for this trip. They will expire in May 31st. I know they have to be booked with less than 30 days now...have no idea how I would make that work.:confused:

I am really sorry to hear about your situation. But I know that once your DH gets better and you find a few nickels to rub together, you will find a way to book that trip. Or, because May is quite some time away, you could try to rent out your points. Just a thought, but in any case, good luck to you.

Actually holding account points allow you to book within 60 days of arrival. Good luck! Health issues have forced us to cancel and cut-short trips, so I have been in your shoes and know how distressing this is.
 
Sorry you have to cancel - hope your husband recovers soon.

Jean is correct - holding account points can be used to make a reservation no more than 60 days in advance. If your travel dates are flexible , you should be able to get a reservation before the points expire. Your best chances will be mid-January - mid February and late April - the end of May. Good luck!

When I tell them at work that I can cancelling I am bound to hear "well it is not like you have already been there!":headache:

I was thrilled to see the 60 day rule for hold points. I have no idea why I thought it was 30. Ok we will try and see if January will work and hold on that little bright thought until then.:wizard:

Oh I'm so sorry to hear this. And since you most likely don't want to get in a fight at work, may I just say on your behalf to those of your coworkers that are idiots..."Shut up! Disney is wonderful, you have no soul!"
