When we were there in Jan 07 we had 2 seperate rooms- 4 adults in one, 2 adults (and a child under 3) in the other. We ate every meal together, and we'd just alternate cards- sometimes we'd "pay" for all the meals with the card from the 4 adult room, other times we'd use the 2-adult room card...and we'd just be mindful of how many credits remained on each. Is it still done this way? Or are they now going specifically by how many adults are in each room (so one card would only pay for 2 meals at a time?)?

Thank you!!

Are your two separate rooms under the same reservation?

If they are not under the same reservation, you will not be able to use the 2 adult room card to pay for more than 2 adult meals in the same transaction. That card will state that only two adults with the dining plan are on that reservation.

If they're all on the same reservation, ALL your key cards should list EVERYONE on the reservation and the dining plans allotted to your entire group.

Okay that makes sense!

How does that work with a Grand Gathering? I just wonder because I decided we will do the DDP but we're taking my grandparents and they don't even eat a full meal each so we would have liked to use 1 TS credit for the two of them when they eat with us if it works. Not sounding like it I guess.

If it's not a buffet or all you can eat they ought to be able to split a meal using their own credits.

If they're not on the reservation you won't be able to use your credits to buy a meal for them.

Well I kinda lack a full understanding of a GG so I don't know. We made their reservations at the same time as ours and under the grand gathering reservation # (that everyone in our group gets), but they paid seperately and everything.

Then they have their own reservation. Are they on the dining plan? If they are not on the dining plan themselves they will need to buy a meal.

You still won't be able to use your credits to buy them meals.

unless I am mistaken, Grand Gathering means that you will get your rooms placed near each other and you will be eligible for special events. It does not mean you can share the dining plan.
