Have they announced when/if Tutto Italia will be closing?

Don't worry, I'm sure there will be MULTIPLE posts as soon as an announcement is made!

(and don't go believing a thread that starts out I just heard from a CM that Tutto Italia is closing on XX... Make sure it is an official announcment from Disney. "Hearsay" info from CMs has been known to be less than 100% accurate)!

The report is that they are closing in the Spring and reopening in the Fall as a different restaurant.

If the reports are true, either your ADR will be transferred to the new restaurant that opens in its place, or you will get a call saying your ADR has been cancelled.

It did...but it was only supposed to be a temporary restaurant...another was supposed to come in for the fall of 2008...does not look like that will happen for a while.

Well it makes no sense to close a resturant that is doing so well! After reading all the good reviews I sure hope it is still open in December!

We have a reservation for July 1st. I certainly hope it doesn't close since we will have difficulty getting in another spot. We also wanted Lecellier for any night during out stay and couldn't get it.

Not to add to the rumor mill, but...

the way that I understood it was that Tutto Italia was a temporary fix for the new restaurant group that took over what used to be Alfredo's. Although the menu may not change, I believe this new restaurant group had plans to rehab the interior of the restaurant, making it more their own.

We're actually very close with one of the cast members who worked at Alfredo's and is now employed at Tutto Italia. My DM will be going with my DGM soon, I can see if they can find out anything from him.

I know they were planning on doing a rehab of the interior as mentioned above, They have already changed the menu and the place is now wildly popular and being booked like crazy becuase of reviews.It is possible they are postponing the revamp until a slow time like Jan.

That's a good point.
