Have the prices dropped due to the recession?

I don't think Disney has ever lowered their prices. They have lowered minimum points purchased but not the price per point itself.

Everything Disney keeps going up.... DDP, admission, etc.

Heck our 10 day tickets we bought a while ago were 495 bucks each and now they are 630 ish?

Resale prices have dropped. For a long time Disney was not exercising ROFR very much except at BCV. Supply and demand drove resale prices down and DVC was not purchasing by ROFR. Resale purchase prices did drop.

DVC has started exercising ROFR again and that has seemed to halt the drop in prices at least at OKW. Prices may have again stabilized for the time being.

But that is just my opinion.:wizard:

I am wondering if the pricing for DVC has been affected at all by the recession?

They might have gone up faster than they actually did if there hadn't of been a recession.

GFV sounds like it is really going to push the pricing envelope. Will be interesting to see how fast it sells.

I think one result of the pricing for the GFV is that some resale sellers are going to start asking more as they use GFV as a bench mark to price against.

you're always free to ask for what you want but the "real" price still depends on supply (how many other people are trying to sell their contracts) and demand (how many people are motivated to buy)...not to mention how desperate you are to sell...
