1) Are there DATA ports in the rooms?

2) How long does it take to get to MK from POP via bus/shuttle?

3) Are kids allowed to play with Beach balls or other inflatable toys in the pools?

4) Are the safes in the room large enough for a laptop computer?

First trip, never been, hope someone can answer my questions. :goodvibes

2. 10-15 min
3. I don't think beach balls are allowed.
4. No

Re: Beach Ball

Last year my daughter bought a ball from the gift shop and was playing with it in the pool most of the week. It was just me and her throwing it around.

Now here is the funny part. None of the lifeguards said anything. Toward the end of the trip - there was one day in particular that several kids were playing with balls and throwing them extremely far, whereas me and my daughter were just tossing it within close range. There was one female lifeguard who singled my daughter out and said we couldn't use the ball in the pool. I told her that we have been here over a week and we had the ball in the pool every day. Then I mentioned to her that there are other people playing with balls - why are they allowed. She said that it is because it is the type of ball. They are using softer balls.

I checked the ball the kids were using and I went to the gift shop and bought that ball. The crazy thing was once this ball was soaked with water it was like a lead weight. Much more dangerous then the ball we were using.

I know it was long winded but this was my expreience with balls while I was there last year.

SURE CAN! I brought my laptop down (to load the digital pics) and it did fit in the room safe.

I got so caught up in the Beach Ball story I forgot to tell you how GREAT POP CENTURY IS. This is my new favoriate resort. I previoiusly stayed at two moderates CBR and POFQ and loved them also, but Pop has a special place in my heart. I'm going back in 36 days!!!

yep, my ibook g4 fits in the safe, remember though, that the dataports are actually for modems, not net connections. :)

We actually took two laptops. I have a Fujitsu lifebook (normal size laptop) & DH has a very small laptop. We were able to fit both in the room safe plus checkbook, set of keys, travelers checks, disney dollars, DH wallet & change purse, etc. It was bigger than I thought it would be.

What a bummer. The girl lifeguard is a poo-poo. Joy killer!
