I have early PS to MK, EPCOT, and AK before park opening. Which of these parks can I drive to and get into before hours, and which ones do I have to take the bus from the resort to? I know I have heard that you MUST take the bus to AK to get in for an early PS, is MK and Epcot the same? TIA :wizard:

There have been posts regarding early parking problems at all the parks but AK is 100%.

While AK is the only park that really holds up cars until about 1/2 hour before park opening, I would also take the bus to MK. When you park at the TTC, you need to show proof of ressie to get on the resort monorail. The monorail starts at 7AM and depending on your ressie, the extra time may be a problem.

We have been held up at EPCOT until 1/2 hour before the park opens when using our car.

Does anyone know why this is?

so if I have a 8:05 ressie in the MK on a non EE day I should be OK. 7 is plenty of time, by momorail.
And I thought I read, I could be wrong, that if I took a bus to MK that early it would only bring me to TTC anyway? And how do I get proof of ressie. I do have a confirmation number, I hope that will do.

We have a rental car. I was going to drive to TTC and take the monorail. This will work, right? Or I might take a cab all the way to MK

The confirmation number is all you need, although your name should be on the list at the park entrance.
Disney buses take you directly to the Magic Kingdom main entrance. They do not go to the TTC. You cannot drive or take a taxi to the MK. All private vehicles must park/drop off at the TTC and then you can either boat or monorail over to the MK. Only Disney buses drop you off at the entrance.
Disney runs early buses every day so people can get to their breakfasts, tours, etc. This is the easiest way to get to all your early breakfasts.

So there will be early taxis? I have a 7am PS at Chef Mickey's and I'm at POFQ so I'm thinking the breakfast buses won't be running THAT early and I'd have to take a taxi. Do they call one for you from the resort? Thanks

We just returned from our trip June 25 to July 3. We had CRT 8:50 AR one morning and we used Disney transportation with no problems. We boarded a bus at CBR about 7:20, and we arrived in plenty of time at MK where we were all held at the entrance until 8 AM. Another day we had 8:30 AR at Princess Storybook breakfast. We drove to the park. We were able to enter the parking lot about 8 AM. We were again held at the entrance gate until about 8:15. HTH.

From WL - take bus to AK for Donald's?
from WL - take sm boat to Contemp and then monorail to MK? is that the quickest? or better to walk?

Buses *WILL* start running 45 minutes prior to any breakfast seating time. So, if you have a 7am Chef Mickey's, the MK bus WILL be running at 6:15-6:30.

To the poster asking about taxis...............
All Disney resorts have taxis waiting outside their main entrance. If there are none waiting (unusual) a Cast Member will get one for you right away.

This is still the case at Animal Kingdom? We have an 8am seating, and planned on driving.....I guess we're taking the bus, LOL!

I also have a 8:00AM for AK, but want to drive, we have dinner plans off property and don't want to have to make time to go all the way to CBR. But I guess if AK opens at 8, then you can park at 7:30, that should be fine. Also have an 8:25 CP on a non-early entry day and want to take our rental car, first time for kids at Disney and want to take monarail. Can you park at TTC and walk to Poly(if possible) and take monarail from there or will the monarail stop at TTC??

The monorail will stop at the TTC. You will need to have your PS# to show the CM in order to get on the monorail
