You can call - when you know the discount code and the phone reservations folks can help you.

Here is something you can try online at

http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/wdw/index

Look in the lower right for this:

Select the Great Resort Offers, on the next page upper right look for:

Choose.jpg

Select Florida Residents and follow the screens from there!

Thank you very Much I just book our rooms. I am so excited!!!!
76 days to go!!!

I'm trying to wade through the painful and overwhelming process of planning a first Disney vacation. I found this board and references to discount codes, some of which seem to be specifically for online use, but I'll be darned if I can find any place in the Disney trip planning process to enter a discount code. Where am I missing it? Thanks.

Abeyance,

If you are a Florida resident and Log on to Disney.com and Go to travel, there is a page for Florida Residents, You click on that put in your zip code and it will give you all the Offers available. And You can just book on line, But its Tricky since Disney has Chnaged there site a little its difficult to get to a Travel Home Page that Has the Florida Resident area, Its usually Smaller in font size and its Underlined and on the right hand side, and usually Anual P*******r is right next to it......Hope thats not confusing and it helped......If you dont get a page with the Florida Resident word then I suggest a search for Florida Resident Rates and it will take you to a page hopefully, If not then just call, Let them know you are a resident and you have a code and they usually can help........Good Luck and I hope it helped..........

I don't think the website has an area to specifically fill in a discount code. You have to follow the links on their site, or call Disney and see if you have the option and availability to use a resort discount code.

I emailed Dsney and asked how to do this - they say go to

Select the Great Resort Offers, enter your information and it is supposed to give you the best deal available . Once it gives you a room only rate - if you add tickets it is supposed to give you a package price.

I've never been able to get this work.... but that is not surprising for the Disney website!

So then things like this:

Magic Your Way Package Discount Code is ZJU (online) ZJY (call-in)

Magic Your Way Package Plus Dining Discount Code is ZJV (online) ZJZ (call-in)

Don't really mean anything can't actually be used anywhere? Why is there an online code if there's no place to enter it?

BTW - I'm not a Florida resident if that matters in this discussion. I'm not clear on whether these are Florida resident only codes or general public codes, so maybe I'm not seeing a place to enter them because I'm not following the Florida Reisdents link?

Thanks.

Yes, the general public codes can be used by anyone but WDW sure makes it difficult! :rolleyes1 (FL Res have their own codes too, but you're not concerned with those if you're not a FL Res) If you go to the website and choose the "Great Resort Offers" like Trekker shows, and then pick "Find the Best Fit for Your Family" and scroll down to the "Get Started" button, the codes will already be "built in" to your choices. Just remember that you always have to go in through the "special offers" section to get those rates though...

For instance, in checking the WL for September 4-7 (just an example), when I just went in the WDW website through that way, then when I chose the "Get Started" button, on the next page I found this:

August to September Room Only Offer
Enjoy this special Room Only offer, available at select Walt Disney World® Resort hotels most dates between July 29 - September 29, 2007.

This offer must be booked by July 28, 2007.

That's how you'll know that you are using the code. And even though it says "Room Only Offer" there, and even though their website doesn't say anything about packages, it WILL let you add tickets, etc. after you choose your resort (it shows "ticket store") and if you do add tickets, etc. it automatically changes from "August to September Room Only Offer" to "Special Rate Type : August to September Magic Your Way Package Offer" , which includes your tickets, etc plus these extras for 2007 packages:

Commemorative luggage tag (one per person).
Disney's PhotoPass 5x7 Photo Certificate – Vacation memories captured by a professional photographer. Book a Magic Your Way package on disneyworld.com and when you check in at a Disney Resort Hotel, you receive a welcome letter with instructions on how to receive one 5x7 print at Walt Disney World.
Planet Hollywood ®- Enjoy a $15 Certificate valid for food and non-alcoholic beverages at Planet Hollywood, Downtown Disney West Side. VIP Preferred Seating is available from 11am through 6pm (one certificate per room; not valid with any other offers or discounts).
Disney’s Miniature Golf- One certificate valid for one round of miniature golf (per room) at either Disney’s Fantasia or Disney’s Winter Summerland Miniature Golf courses (one certificate per room valid for one round of golf). For example: A room with 4 guests will receive one certificate which is valid for one person in the party to play one round of miniature golf.
Sea Raycers Offer Certificate- Enjoy 90 minutes watercraft fun when guests buy 60 minutes. Offer is valid for up to 5 people at participating marina locations (restrictions apply; one certificate per room).
*******

Anyway, when I chose the Get Started button and it came up with the August to September room only offer I scrolled down and input the dates and then next page scrolled down to Wilderness Lodge and clicked on it.

DON'T pay attention where it shows "Rooms from $$$", those are NOT the discounted rates - like how the WL shows:
Rooms from $215 to
$445 per night**
Just go ahead and click on the resort you want, and the correct "discounted" code price will be shown on the next page that comes up - like this:

Special Rate Type : August to September Room Only Offer
WL Standard (other views are offered)
Date Rate per Night
Tue, Sep 04 $ 140.00
Wed, Sep 05 $ 140.00
Thu, Sep 06 $ 140.00

(Or if I had clicked on POP, it comes up
Special Rate Type : August to September Room Only Offer
POP Standard (other categories are offered)
Date Rate per Night
Tue, Sep 04 $ 69.00
Wed, Sep 05 $ 69.00
Thu, Sep 06 $ 69.00 )

Compare that to the rates you get if you go in to the "regular" Tickets and Reservations section and price it instead of the "special offers":

Wilderness Lodge Standard Room priced on "Tickets and Reservations" section:
Date Rate per Night
Tue, Sep 04 $ 215.00 compared to $140 with the "built in" code!
Wed, Sep 05 $ 215.00
Thu, Sep 06 $ 215.00

or POP Standard
Date Rate per Night
Tue, Sep 04 $ 82.00 compared to $69 with the "built" in code!
Wed, Sep 05 $ 82.00
Thu, Sep 06 $ 82.00

You can see how much it saves you to go through the "Special Offers" portal! :goodvibes
