I am booked in November on the Magic for the Eastern Caribbean and have cabin 7128, the last navigator verandah on the port side. My daughter is travelling with me and she is sensitive to motion. Is the Eastern Caribbean rough enough that we might feel a lot of movement? We could change to a 5c but it’s just two of us this time and the navigator would be enough.

I can’t answer about the magic, but on a previous Dream cruise we had a veranda room midship and hardly felt anything, but whenever we would visit my brother-in-law on the last room in the back of the ship, we could feel significantly more motion.

We were in 7128 on the WBPC Cruise this year. Not much movement but you are aft and will hear the thrusters when going into ports. It’s near the restaurants but not close to the clubs or gym.

If you check back on this a day or two up to maybe a week out and it will be easier to comment on how rough the trip will be. Unfortunately any spot on the water can change dramatically depending on the weather. I’ll ignore the stateroom because if the seas get rough it doesn’t matter where you are you will still feel some motion.

Having said that we have been to the eastern Caribbean 3 times at different times of the year and it was never too bad. In fact, one of those was probably the smoothest waters we had cruised. Since the eastern route usually begins with the long run out to the islands and the port days are on the way back expect potentially more motion in the first few day.

I have stayed in 7128 on both magic and wonder, we prefer 7126 and that’s our favourite magic/wonder cabin. I suffer terrible motion sickness and find these cabins fine, I also love that if I am feeling wobbly with sea sickness (usually due to bad weather) the navigator veranda is enclosed
