Have looked but can't find answer to FP+ question

I actually have two questions.

1. I know it says you get three FP+, but do you have to book all 3 in advance or can you book only 2 and then get an additional one the day you are in the park?

2. If you do book all 3, and one of them is for a nighttime show (Illuminations, Wishes or Fantasmic) how would you ever be able to use all 3 before getting another FP+?

1. You must book 3 in advance.

2. All 3 must expire before you can get a 4th and you must use at least one of them. So if you choose a nighttime show as one of your prebooked 3, you will not be able to get a 4th until after the window for the nighttime show has passed.

So you could get a 4th if there is a park open later than the nighttime show. For example, if MK is open until midnight you could use your Illuminations FP or let it pass, hop to MK and get a 4th there. but otherwise, you're right, it restricts your ability to get a 4th, so plan accordingly.
