Have in park shoots rules changed? I thought I read a post saying that if you do not have disney fine art photography shoot your ceremony you can only book in park shoots at 30 days out..... but now I cant find the post and im wondering if the flu I had caused DFTW induced nightmares!?!

My understanding is if you don't have Disney shoot your ceremony you can only book park shoots 45 days out - I'm not sure if only MK shoots are under this rule but a friend of mine has this issue as Randy is shooting her wedding, they have to wait until 45 days out too book their MK/Epcot session, but this has been the rule for a while

Oh Really..... I have been looking at DFTW for ages and did not see this. I thought it was a knew change! :(
thanks for the info.
is it hard to get photoshoots that close in?
can those using disney fine art photography book at the same time as the wedding?

My plan is, and hopefully it works hehe, is to have the included escape photography for my ceremony, have an extra hour added before the ceremony for getting ready photos, mainly so I can book my MK shoot when I confirm my date, as this is one of, if not the, most important thing for us, then hopefully if Regina is available, have her come meet us after our meal at Citricos to take evening/night shots hopefully with some fireworks shots.

I'm not sure how hard it is to get shoots that close to the date I'm sorry!

Aw your plans sound really lovely!
I normally avoid cameras but really want a lot of wedding pics. Im looking to have photos at the ceremony/cake cutting and a few photos around the ceremony site (from the two included hours) +1 hrs photos at reception and 1hr getting ready plus DP photos and in park sessions at Epcot and AK. I guess I will go through Disney for them as the AK shoot is important to me and the epcot one is important to the other half. I have a feeling its going to cost a fortune!

As I am hoping to have a dessert party im not sure I can survive from 3am for in park shoots until 10.30pm so will probably do these another day, but a great idea if you can do it!

It has been an unwritten rule for a while, but they only started printing it in their brochures a couple of weeks ago, so I can see how this would be confusing.

If you use Disney photography, you can book your in-park shoot whenever. With Epcot and AK as your preferred locations, I wouldn't worry about not being able to get the date you want 45 days out. :thumbsup2

I have my DHS shoot booked and am counting the days till my 45 day window to try to book the MK. I am not holding my breath on being able to get the day I want though. I have a feeling both will end up getting scheduled in January instead of October and I will then need to try to save up my pennies for my florals, hair and makeup again. :(

We're probably going to be coming back down in January to do the MK too. I feel your pain on the additional costs!

sorry im a bit confused!
so its only the MK shoot that you cant book at the same time as your wedding, if your not having disney photography covering your ceremony?

Exactly. You can book other parks or locations, you just can't book the MK until you are in the 45 day window of your wedding date if you are not using Disney photography.

Oh excellent - I do not want an MK shoot only epcot and AK. That will save me some money then as I can have Randy (if hes available) for my ceremony. As I can swap out the disney ceremony photography in my escape package for my dessert party wth no implications on my photoshoots -as im from the UK I cant return to WDW very easily.
Maybe thats where I got confused.
