Have I lost my mind?!?! I want to go back so badly to WDW and we already have another trip planned to another part of Florida for fall break and can't change it. Now I'm considering going between Christmas and New Years, while school is out, so DD doesn't miss. I know this is the most crowded time of year and I am scared to death to go. But want to go soooo bad! Any opinions?

The week between Christmas and New Year's is the absolute busiest time of the year at WDW. Ride waits for everything (including things like the boat ride in Mexico at Epcot) will be lengthy. Many days will have at least one park close at capacity. So ... if you're considering a trip, keep all that in mind.

The benefit, of course, is that you get the decorations and the holiday atmosphere, but the crowds are a big deterrant for many.

Personally, I'd wait and go at a less crowded time. Because by the time you get to December, that "I'VE GOTTA GET BACK TO DISNEY WORLD" feeling may have worn off a bit, and then you'll walk into these incredibly crowded parks and wonder why you came. And that would be worse.

Personally, if it was me and it was go at Xmas or don't go at all for a long time, I WOULD GO. :)

We arrived New Year's day and it was packed. However, the days following got less busy each day. The girls missed one day of school, first day back after break, so it wasn't a big deal.

Thanks for the advise. I think we have decided to wait and go in February. We will have to take DD out for a week, but I don't think we would enjoy ourselves when it is that busy. We have APs and just gotta go again before they expire in mid-may. Thanks!:)
