My bf and i are staying to AKL in October and during the trip we were talking about going to one of the character dinning experiences. I was just looking through some of the threads on here and seeing posts about people wanting cancellations for adr etc

Are we too late? Uf not which ones would we still have a chance of getting.

Am new to this so sorry if i am asking silliy question :)

We are going in October as well and I have been rearranging my ADR's and the only place that I have asked for that was booked solid was Le Cellier. Other than that I was able to get everything I asked for. I wouldn't wait too much longer though.

Usually, when I book my ADRs the confirmation numbers change by as much as 200 to 300 between my first and my last. That means that 200 to 300 other ADRs have been made while I was on the phone making mine. Get you list together. Have alternate places in mind and be willing to be flexible with the times. Do it NOW. I'm sure you will do ok.

Not necessarily. Quite often things like reservation numbers use a check digit to make sure the numbers are not sequential and cannot be guessed.

That said, I would definitely recommend you get on the phone and make your reservations. You may have to show some flexibility with your times and dates to get the restaurants you want.

We are going in Oct., too, and I have been rearranging my ADRs. I even cancelled Ohana's char. breakfast, so, see people do cancel all the time! No problems with anything except LeCellier (we got lunch). Go ahead and start calling today and you'll be fine; it seemed most of the character dinners that were left were later times after 8 pm, though. Since it's just you and BF, you can be more flexible not having to worry about bedtimes for little ones!
