We'll be at WDW for 7 days and I have ADRs for 3 character meals... I'm debating adding another because we love Pooh and have done a meal with Pooh every trip. So, am I crazy??

Sept 20-27 Official Plan:
21st: possible CP with Pooh for breakfast
25th: scheduled breakfast with Donald at AK and dinner with Mickey at CM's
27th: scheduled breakfast at GF goodbye WDW

TIA Cindy

As long as you are ok with mediocre food and a noisy atmosphere, you will be ok. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

No, seriously though, to each his own. I personally want to try nicer restaurants, so I try to balance the character meals. I look at it like this... we try to go once a year, for 7 or 8 nights and I like to do one sit down meal a day, with one or two days having two sit downs. It doesn't allow me a lot of variety to do a ton of character meals. So I try not to do the same character meals twice and I try to pick different characters. Happy Planning.

No, I don't think you've gone overboard. During our 9 day trip in May we ate dinners at:
*Chef Mickey's twice
*LTT
*1900 Park Fare
*Crystal Palace

We do a lot of character meals because that's what our kids enjoy. The other places we go to are "fun" places like WCC.

Have a great time!!

We've found through experience that, FOR US, two character meals are just right in a 7 day trip, but three is a bit much---the third is just a little less "special", and a bit "been here don this."

Every family is different, though.

On our last 5-day trip, we did two character meals, both dinners. We did LTT and 1900 Park Fare. On our upcoming 4-day trip, we're doing two again -- Norway Princesses (2nd time in four trips) and Pooh at CP (also 2nd time in four trips). As you can see, we're on our second go-around, although there are still a few we haven't done yet.

So, no, I don't think you're crazy. Have all the fun your family can stand.

We also have three character meals planned for December. The day we arrive we are doing CM, then celebrating three birthdays at 1900 Park Farethe next night and to make our MVMCP even more special the following night we have ressies at CRT prior to the kickoff of the party. And I figured it would be easier for our DD(9) to eat mac n cheese and carrots the rest of the week :rotfl2: :rotfl: just kidding..........they love eating with the characters.

We have never done more than one per trip, but if your family will enjoy it that is all that matters right?

We're gonna be doing 5 in a 9 night/10 day trip. Chef Mickeys, Donalds, Ohanas, crystal palace (dinner) and liberty tree tavern (dinner). I just absouletely love  the character meals, so does my hubby. Last time we ate at garden grill for dinner and both chip and dale were hitting on me, LOL!!! :rotfl: They were also giving my hubby a :thumbsup2. It was so hilarious. We came out of the restraunt stuffed, satisified and :rotfl2:

Our first trip, Aug. 2001, DS was 14 and DGD was 12 and we did 7 chacter meals. They loved it. we got our fill and on our last trip we only did 1 and 2 dinner shows. This trip, in a couple weeks, we are doing one again.
:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

I think you have it just right. I have seven in my 20 days at WDW: 4 breakfasts, one lunch and two dinners.
:cool1: :thumbsup2

We're planning to be at Disney for 10 nights, and doing only 1 or 2 sit-down table service meals. All the rest will be character meals. May not be the best use of our Dining Plan, but I calculated it -- dining plan vs. out of pocket (and cutting out a lot of the ts meals when I'm figuring our out of pocket expense) -- and the dining plan is still cheaper. I will have an 11 year old and a 13 year old when we go, and they will not eat the adult meals at table service places, so buffets/family style will at least allow us not to waste food.

i have 2 this is our first trip and i want them to experience all disney has to offer. 1 is a chef mickeys and the other is at 1900 park fare for me i love mary poppins.

We are doing 5 in Sept during our 10 day. We love them. It is nice for us because the choices are beter for the kids. It gives them things to eat like us. I think it is all in what you like.

We have brkfsts at Chef Mickeys, Crystal Palace and O'Hanas

We are going for 4 days and have 3 Character Meals booked (CP for dinner, Donald's for Breakfast, and 1900 PF for Breakfast). My reason is actual less for the characters and more about doing buffets since we will have DD with us and she can eat off of our plates at buffets (she's 2). The characters are just a bonus!

We are going in September for 10 Days and i have 5 character meals planned.

LTT
Hollywood and Vine (lunch)
Princess Storybook Breakfast
Chef Mickeys
Crystal Palace

I have one more table service ADR to schedule because i just added a day to my plan and i am thinking another character. It is the best thing for us with our 4 year old. She loves them.

We will be spending lots of time with the characters! In seven days we have ADRs for:

CRT Lunch
Donald's Breakfastosaurus
Chef Mickey's dinner
Crystal Palace dinner
Princess Storybook Breakfast
Park Fare breakfast

I also have ADRs for Hollywood & Vine for Fantasmic dinner package and Le Cellier lunch. I have more ADRs than dining plan allotments, but I plan on purchasing a couple OOP. For me, it seems worth it because I have a young child and I really do NOT want to stand in character queues. Also, my favorite Disney trips as a child were the ones where I spent a lot of time with the characters. I can go to a fancy restaurant anywhere, but there is no place in town where I can dine with Mickey Mouse or Cinderella. ::MickeyMo

I don't think so. For our 8 day trip we have ressies for CM, 1900, and LTT. On top of this we ahve plenty of other buffets and the like as this is what our family enjoys. For us it isn't entirely about the food as it is the atmosphere. BTW, we usually have 1 or 2 additional character meals beyond these 3.
