I don't know anything about the kennel, sorry, but what about some family or a friend or someone you know that could either take your doggy to their house for the day or go to your place and hang out with him there?

Tracy, just a note to say that I am thinking of you and Flower today. I know that it will be a sad day for you as you get through these "anniversaries" of Flower's passing. I am sorry that it was such a shocking event. That makes it more surreal. I hope that you do get to go to DL for a little break this week-end.

As Flower's smells in the house subside, Buddy Good Boy will get more used to Flower being gone. That was one of the saddest things when my pets were gone watching the one left behind look for the one that was gone.

Our pets are important members of our families and are loved and missed like any other family member when they leave us. Be kind to yourself, too, and give yourself what you need to get through this time in your life.

Thinking of you today as well. I had told my DH about your dilemma yesterday. Today I told him, Flower is making it rain so she'll stay home with Buddy today. He gave me the "you're crazy, but I love you" look, but I'd be willing to bet that the way he loves our Zorro, there's a tiny part of him that just might believe it too.

Hugs to you during this amazingly difficult time. They ARE family. Take the time to feel your loss, but be so thankful you have Buddy by your side to go through thi together. He misses his friend too, I'm sure.
