and was wondering....am I going to also being able to hook up my DVD player to the same TV so I can watch DVDs?

Thank you.

You should be able to. I have it hooked up that way in my house. Just make sure that you tell the person doing the installation that you want to have the DVD player hooked up to th same tv.

It depends on how many inputs you have on the TV, but if it's even fairly newish, you should be OK. Do you have cable/satellite now, and how is it connected? I'm guessing that is going to be going through the DVR, right? You'll probably have one hookup that is cable-to-DVR-to-TV, and a second one that is DVD-to-TV, and your TV controller should have a menu that lets you switch your picture source between the different incoming lines, if that makes sense.

Yes, we've had it done thru 3 moves. Have the installer help you or call your cable company to help you out. It's a lot easier than you can imagine!

Know that if you run into trouble, there are a bunch of folks who can help you. If you can post the model numbers (for television, DVD player, and once you get it, also post the model number of the DVR) I might be able to find some diagrams for the specific hook-up you're trying to achieve.
