Have DVC member mixer dates been posted yet?

A holiday themed event where Disney gives you a cookie or two, you can see Mickey, stand in line to buy stuff and get a sales pitch.

(Can you tell I was unimpressed LOL! Other's love it, but I thought it was loud crowded and just another "sales opportunity" Plus I don't stand in long lines to spend money )

What is the "member mixer"?

We've been the past several years. It's a nice event. Big space (last year it was held behind the United Kingdom.) You need your DVC card to get in. There's no need to purchase anything, and we didnt wait in any lines at all for anything. They serve snacks and hot chocolate... have entertainers (like magicians/etc)...and hand out GingerBread Men to all the kids (adults too if you want one I suppose.) They had a dance party (often with a character) for the kids. They also hand out DVC Christmas ornaments that have always been really nice quality. All of the above are free. There are multiple baskets raffled off (if you spend the time filling out the chances with your name/number)...and other types of "prizes."

I am sure you probably could go to one of the stands to talk to DVC members about buying more points...but since everyone there is already DVC (or most - I think you can bring a guest) I can't imagine they do alot of Sales.

We thought it was a great event...and (if you're already at WDW) a really nice "perk" to being a member.

I got an email yesterday from member services stating that plans had not been made as yet. Sure hope they will do them again. We have really enjoyed them.

They are usually held the last 4 Tuesdays before Christmas. Last year was the first time they had it in a location that required park admission.

Over they years they have been held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays in different years.

Until it's announced, there's really no way to plan in advance. Could end up being just about any day of the week.

Usually during the day. Since they are using the World Showplace Pavilion again this year, theme park admission will be required.

OK...our dining ADR aren't until 7pm....we were planning AK around noon. Where will we get more info? D we need to register or anything? I seem to always be out of the loop????

They should put something up on the member website soon if they have the dates set now. Last year was the first time they held them inside a park and I don't recall the need to register to attend (the same as in prior years).

I received different information regarding dates. MS told me Merry Mixer would be on Thurs., starting Nov. 29 thru Dec. 20 from 3-5 PM at World Showplace Pavillion. It's the same venue as last year.
