I know, I know, another annoying question about Everest. I am one of those chicken riders, but EE looks really cool.

My main concern is the height and any drops. I love to go fast, and I don't think that going backwards will be bad. I just wonder if there are any drops that will make my stomach do flip flops?!?! I can handle a drop if it is curved, kind of like on BTMRR (which I love by the way), but not the straight down ones.

Has any other chicken rider ridden EE yet? If so, I would love to hear your thoughts on it!!!

:thanks:

I'll ride anything man creates! But one of my best friends is a huge "chicken" - I've gotten him on RNR, TOT and EE - and EE is his favorite ride now. Give it a try! :thumbsup2 The drops are much steeper than BTMR, but not stomach wrenching - try to sit near the middle to mitigate the effects of the backward spiral and big drop.

The drops on EE are WAY steeps than BTMR. But for some reason it felt like we were going upside down.

I rode this on our last trip in August, and while I really liked the ride, I got a little sick to my stomach. Maybe sitting in the middle is a good idea and also having just a little on the stomach instead of a big breakfast would have been better! It is a fun ride and later in the morning it was even better!

I am a chicken and I rode it in April. I didn't even think about it and just got in line with ds11. We were both aprehensive about the ride but decided to go on anyhow. I *think* I liked it! :) I did close my eyes and scream a bit. Never did see the Yeti. We went back in august and I didn't feel like riding it but I probably would again.

In august I went on Tower of Terror for the first time. Didn't really want to - but wanted to - ya know? So I got in line, was very, very nervous about it but still wanted to try. (I don't even like real elevators - bothers my stomach) Our family of 4 ended up in the FRONT seat - cool! For whatever reason (even surprised me) I liked it!!! Couldn't get anyone to go on again tho.

This last trip we also did Kali River Rapids for the first time - way too short I thought. And we did Primevial Whirl - didn't like that at all as it was too rough for my back.

I say give it a try. EE didn't make my physicaly ill like RNR did - I won't go anywhere near M:S. The ride isn't real long and it will be over before you know it - just keep telling yourself that. I thought the coolest thing was going up, up, up and you could see all over the park - next time I am bringing a camera.

Try it - you might love it - and if you don't, don't go on it again!

Jill

Yes, give it a try. I'm a chicken too, and I liked EE--I will definitely go on it again! I will never do TofT again...at least I don't think I will! I have never tried M:S, but I might try the less intense version this November!

I'm a bit of a ride chicken, but I like EE a LOT. It is more intense than BTMRR, but the theming is so cool :earsboy:

I guess I'm the only one it really "bothered". When the ride went whirling backwards, my stomach started whirling too. And it didn't calm down for about 2-3 hours after I got off the ride.

If you can make it up the first big hill you'll be fine! There are no "big" drops. I hate those sorts of things on rides! In fact, I won't ride Splash Mountain or ToT again for that reason. The drops just get me every time. I loved EE, and the scariest part for me was the anticipation of the Yeti reaching out to get me, but he wasn't scary at all! :goodvibes

I HATE thrill rides, and Everest didn't scare me at all. I take that back - The dark parts were kind of scary, but the front drop was awesome.

Hi I'm Evil Genius and I'm a chicken rider. I don't "do" Tower of Terror, Rock n Roller Coaster, et al. BUT I loved EE. It was fun and fast.

I'm a big chicken rider & I rode this a couple weeks ago. Definitely do-able for us chickens! It's somewhere between Thunder RR & a wild coaster at your local amusement park. I do advise riding it on an empty stomach because it did give me a slight stomach ache for a few minutes.

Thanks to the rest of the chicken riders!!! I just might have to try it!!!

I appreciate everyone's responses!!!
