We are coming down on Oct 22-Nov and need a sitter for the Party for the Senses on the 30th. We were thinking of Fairy Godmothers or Kid's night out.

I always thought a great idea would be for a bunch of us DVCers to get together and pay one of the willing older children to sit. I am sure there are nights when they are not going out that they would like to earn a little money for staying in.

We used Kids Nite Out. The babysitter was mature and well-prepared with activities for our kids. The session went well.

We've used Fairy godmothers and have been delighted. The sitters they send tend to be real grandmas. Since our kids are little, it was better for them to have the security of their own room (well, their vacation home room anyway) rather than being left at a community room with a larger group. Plus, they could crash when they felt like it.

If your kids are old enough, use the sandcastle club at BCV. Even though we've never stayed at BCV, our daughter has been there twice while we've done PFTS. One year she met children from IL and Calif - they were guest chef's kids! We also years ago, used one of the in room service. For our single DD, she preferes the kids clubs because she get to play with other kids.

We are sending all 5 kids to the cubs den thing in Dec of 06 while the parents go to the flying fish for dinner to celebrate some b days.
