Have a Photopass Question? Ask me!

We are excited to go to Disney next week and a trip with family in early November. Can I get one MM and have pictures from both trips or would I need to purchase 2? TIA

You should be able to get by with only 1 MM! MM just entitles you to 30 days of downloads. If you wait until almost the time your pictures expire (45 days from being taken) to start downloading photos, you will have 30 days from that date to keep taking more pictures and edit and download them. As long as your trips begin and end within a 75 day time frame, you should be fine.

Ride video question - sharing MM with friends. If the one who is the "manager" is not in the same park as us, will our ride video still capture or will it only work when she is on the ride?

I could not find any info to back up this info. Sounds too good to be true and you know what that usually means. There's a thread started that there is a test of MM for one day for the cost of $ 39. Here is the link that thread provided. Can you give any info ? Thanks http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=3334360

It's a one day memory maker for $39. It's only available for one day MK tickets or MNSSHPtickets. Pretty much exactly what it sounds like.

Question...I just saw a friend's photo book she created from her Disney trip 3 years ago and...wow...totally amazing. The pictures are fantastic plus she got to arrange the photos in this photobook with cool paper, borders, etc. The book was shipped to her after she ordered it (we're in Canada).

But this was before. With the current Memory Maker, do we still get this? And if so, is it included in the $149 pre-paid price??? Or is it simply the ability to download the pictures?

That deal was offered like 3 years ago and never since.

It's the ability to download the pictures. You can create a photobook without buying any photos it's one of the products.

So basically the $149 just gets you the ability to download the pictures??? What do people mean then when they refer to creating borders (or is that referring to this old product)?

The photobook was really cool and such a beautiful keepsake.

When you do an advance order for MM, what gets sent to your house? How do people use their magic bands as a photopass card? Just by linking their MM account with MDE?

When you view your pictures on the PhotoPass website, it gives you the ability to add borders to the pictures. Each picture will have several borders to choose from that are either general (it will most likely say "Walt Disney World 2014" or something like that) or will be more specific to the picture (like a specific border for a picture taken at Epcot). And you don't have to choose just one border - if you like more than one border, you can save the picture with however many borders you like. (Just to clarify, I don't mean you can have multiple borders on the same picture. I mean you can save it with border 1, then with border 2, etc. You also still get the picture without the border.)

While the $149 does basically "just" gives you the ability to download the pictures, since it would cost you $15 per picture to purchase them separately, since there are plenty of photo opportunities, plus the ability to increase the number of pictures you end up with by adding borders (or cropping, or doing things like black and white), you can easily end up with enough pictures that you're paying less than $1 a picture. I've heard of people ending up with hundreds of pictures after doing the edits.

I'm the "owner" of the MM. Will attraction photos and videos of my MDE "friends and families" show up in my account even if I'm not in the same park?

As long as they have given you permission to view their PhotoPass images then yes.

I was skimming through the MM terms and conditions and I run across this phrase, "Memory Maker guest must be present in order to get select attraction and select dining photos associated to their Site/App account." (bullet point #7)

So does this mean that if I'm the MM guest, but my MIL takes the kids to a "select attraction or dining event" that potentially the photos will not be placed in my account and we will have to purchase another MM to have digital access?

Of course, I haven't seen anything where the "select" rides and dining events are defined, but the potential of this is a big deal. Being that we haven't been able to secure reservations for all of us to attend some of the dining events, I want to make sure we at least have pictures!

They're part of your traveling party, you have memory maker, ergo they are memory maker guests.

The entitlement is linked to you for downloading not collecting.

Two questions: I have read conflicting info about Memory Bands automatically linking up with ride photos. I had read that as of June 3rd, 2014, they linked up automatically and you didn't have to visit the photo booth after the ride. Which is correct. Do you or don't you?

Secondly, I read somewhere on this board that I phones cannot view their Memory Maker photos online. Would I be able to view my photos on my Kindle Fire? I was hoping to not have to bring my computer along on our trip, but I want to be able to check that my ride photos linked up properly.

Thanks!

I have read through all the pages and you have such great advice, thank you :). I saw this answered on another page but wanted to clarify. I'm not really sure if we will get our money out of mm or not. This is our first trip and I'm kind if trying to save money now for when we are down there. Can we take the photos on rides/ dinners/ around the park, link then to my band, look at them and THEN decide if I want to buy mm? Also, if I must prepay, how far in advance should it be? We leave Nov1st. Thank u so much!

Ride photos have to be purchased in park, they can't be done after your vacation unless you purchase memory maker. The other photos you can purchase a la carte online or you can purchase them all.

As long as you buy more than 3 days in advance you save $50
